Tight Ends on the Roster
Brett Brackett 6’5” ,246
Charles Clay 6’3”, 255
Michael Egnew 6’5”, 260
Harold Hopkins 6’2” ,248
Arthur Lynch 6’4” ,255
Kyle Miller 6’5”, 262
Dion Sims 6’4”, 260

Well we know Clay is safe. We will probably keep 2 others....Have we let the Egnew experiment run it's course ?

We will keep 4 TE's

Clay
Sims
Eggnog
Lynch

We Keep 5 WR's

Wallace
Hartline
Gibson
Matthews
Landry

I say we keep 4. Clay and Lynch are safe. I think Sims is safe unless he blows it in the preseason, and the last spot comes down to Egnew or Hoskins

Hopefully they revoke Egnews scholarship. He's basically been redshirting since he's been here. Time to move on from guys like him and DT.

I still think Hoskins would be poached from our PS at some point this season. I think he's a clay clone. with that being said I also know that right this second, clay, simms, lynch, egnew are ahead of him on depth chart, so I hope the kid shows out in preseason. bracket and miller are gone.

It's amazing how Egnew is still on this team. How many chances has he gotten? The only thing I could think of is maybe this new offense will finally allow him to live up to at least some of his potential.

Egnew should be cut but who knows outside of Clay none of our TE's have shown much

It hasn't been the offense that has made him look bad. That offense allowed Clay to shine, Egnew has just sucked

All I know is that Clay and Sims are in. I remember reading reports of Sims being lined up in the backfield much like Clay was used last year. The other 1 or 2 spots are up in the air but the more versatile the player the more likely they stick. I haven't heard anything about other TEs getting lined up in different spots yet other than Egnew being flexed outside. Lynch has been hurt for the last few weeks and I think his value is more of an inline blocker.

I think that Brackett guy might have a legit shot if he has a good two weeks.

From what the beat writers were saying (and yeah, take with a grain of salt) he was very impressive in camp this past week.

Clay Sims and Lynch make it. We will be scouring the cuts to see if a decent TE is cut.

If not, Egnew, Hoskins, Brackett, and Miller will all be vying for one spot on special teams. The final spot will not come down to who is the TE with the most potential or who is the best TE today. It will simply be who does the special teams coach think is th best special teams player today. Judging by that metric there is a very good chance the last spot will go to Kyle Miller.

Clay and Sims make it for sure, I think Lynch based on where he was selected stays. Egnew will stay if the keep 4. Hoskins will go to the practice squad i think unless he gets claimed. the rest get cut
