Time to prepare for the fact.......

Well, this past year we drafted a pass rushing DE, a run stuffing MLB, and a press CB, and honestly, it looks like a good draft. I was thinking one more defensive draft and we would be OK. But, given the way this season has gone, I doubt we draft a defensive player before round 6. Get ready for a draft of RT, TE, LG, C, RG in rounds 1 through 5. Then we'll cut Maxwell, Pouncey, James, Julius Thomas and Marquis Gray, and use the money to sign Landry.

I'm just facing facts. We're going to be hard pressed to re-sign Landry, and we need to improve the OL and TE positions. James isn't earning a big salary but he'll likely command big money, so I'm guessing we'll let him walk. Pouncey's just not good enough or reliable enough to make that kind of dough. Either renegotiate down or let him go. Bushrod will surely retire (mercifully), and Steen is a journeyman at best. I doubt we'll throw the towel in on Tunsil, but he's definitely underperforming. Julius Thomas looks old and feeble. Fasano is old. We have no seam threat. Only Fasano and Landry can block worth a darn in our TE's or WR's.

Gase isn't going to be able to stomach the offense being this bad for this long. It's definitely more than the absence of Tannehill. Ajayi is a top RB, Landry is a top WR, Stills is doing his job well as a deep threat. Parker isn't healthy, but he showed improvement when he was. The backup RB's are solid as well. But aside from the RB and WR positions, all of the other non-QB positions on offense are kinda up for grabs.
