When players keep quitting on a coach, eventually we need to come to grips that the coach might be the problem...

Like Philbin, Gase has had one mini-drama after another involving key players. That speaks to failed leadership...

Gase still has some positives as a coach, but the negatives seem to outweigh it.

If one of the Harbaughs is available this offseason, Ross needs to make the move.

The drama has happened behind closed doors. What drama?

Think about it. There’s been quite a bit over the past 3 seasons. Gase has basically alluded to it repeatedly while discussing the world-beating “culture” he created this off-season by getting rid of guys like Landry & Suh. Ajayi was big one last year. Guys don’t know the playbook, guys are trying to hit a home run, blah blah. There’s been a constant undercurrent of discontent.

The only difference is that Gase assured everyone that he had definitively built the one culture to rule them all. Sadly, he was wrong.

It is actually the exact opposite. When someone comes in and purges a shitty culture, some players buck against it and it gets uncomfortable for some. Those players that buck are the issue to begin with. They are the me players. This is a very necessary evil. Culture reigns king, always.

I think Gase has come in and got rid of players that were more drama than they were worth.

Jones took himself out bc he wasn’t pleased the team wanted to get Fitzpatrick more work. Doesn’t that say more about him than anyone else?
This sounds alot like when Joey Porter was mad he was giving up playing time so Cam Wake could get more involved. Pretty sure Porter was out after that year. The writing might be on the wall already for Jones.
