Healthy skepticism man. It's all healthy skepticism. Once you've been on this train long enough you start to notice the same occurrences. It becomes difficult to maintain an optimistic view until we see the team take that next step. We've been in limbo for so long. I like your outright optimism, it's refreshing. Keep doing it so the forum can balance out the cynicism. All fans show their support differently, some get off on watching the team fall apart so they can smash the "I told you so" card in your face, but they are still just as dedicated to the team and are offended by the lack of growth from the organization. While I may not agree with the outright Tannehill bashing that goes on, they are entitled to their opinion. We need to work collectively to not feed the notorious trolls.
I, myself, like to keep skeptical throughout. I try not to get too high or too low, but it's tough with the emotional investment in the team. I have serious doubts about Philbin and the team's mentality, but I am optimistic that Tannehill can continue to improve. Notice I will not say he is the guy that will take us to the promised land, but I will 100% acknowledge that he has improved and seems to have the drive to want to keep doing so. I have faith in the kid and I want to see him take the next step, not just statistically, but also mentally in clutch situations. He has shown resolve and immense toughness, but has yet to develop the ability to bring the best out in the whole team when the situation calls for it. I need to see him elevate the team more each year. I have faith in him, though. I'm just growing impatient with the team as a whole and seeing the team stagnate at the end of years worries me. We have some good pieces, it's just weather those pieces will mesh enough to give us a cohesive unit in all 3 phases to give us a contender. So far they have shown "flashes", but can't get over that hump...and it's that hump that is the hardest to get over.
