There is way too much debate from the experts on this site as to Beck being a bust or not. No one knows what the kid is capable of unless he plays. If he never starts for this or any team with success then he will be a bust. I'm not saying he is or is not I think we should wait and see. Click on the link for a little more insight, then lets all relax.

"In 1969 Roger Staubach joined the Dallas Cowboys as a 27-year-old rookie, became the starting quarterback in his third season in 1971, and for the next nine seasons he led the Dallas attack. The Cowboys played in six NFC Championship Games, won four of them, and also won Super Bowls VI and XII during Staubach's career."

Yeah well i dont defend Beck because i think he'll be the next Roger Staubach, but i think it would be in our best interests to give him an actual SHOT to prove his worth. To let him sink or swim, and so far we simply haven't. I've tried telling people on the boards this but many of them are just too stubborn to listen. I just hope that when Chad Henne finally does get his chance to play, that if he struggles they dont act the same way towards him as they did to Beck.

It would depend on the degree and the MANNER in which he struggles. All rookies are going to struggle. What Beck demonstrated to me last season was that he is simply not capable of playing QB in the NFL. I discussed it in detail in that thread of yours that was moved to the depths. If you cant understand that...then I dont know what to tell you.

But it doesn't matter what he proves to YOU because YOU, and dont take this wrong way, don't count. The people he needs to prove he can play to are the people that oversee this organization, that's Jeff Ireland, that's Bill Parcells, that's Tony Sparano. The court of public opinion, the fans, dont matter. They are not paid millions of dollars to evaluate talent and make decisions about personnel. When that is the case a player should be given more than FIVE games to display his talents (or lack of).

Meh, it's just opinion. As soon as Beck plays well and takes control of the team we'll see a whole lotta stories and opinions change. If Beck fails there will be a week of I told you so's and life will go on.

Well, I guess we'll all see very soon....thankfully.

Regardless, I'll be avoiding this board for a while as heads balloon with "I told you so" posts that will overflow the board, which ever "side" is right.

Beck played last year. He looked bad.

He will get this preseason to show soemthing. If he doesn't......GOOD BYE

I could definately do without these "Beck is a bust" threads. What really need is more "Josh McClown sucks" threads! Seriously though, it's bad business to part ways with a second round pick in Beck without seeing what he has in game situations. If the team wants to cut him after preseason, fine, so be it. However, at least give the dude a shot to compete and prove his worth.

NeenerNeenerNeener, "I told you so".

I seriously don't understand the Beck bashing threads for two reasons:

1. He's broken away from the pack in training camp. That is not opinion or conjecture-it's fact.

2. Miami's supposed 'team leader', continuously feeding off of the high that his inconsequential defensive MVP award gave him, lead a mutiny against the HC that lead to a 1-15 season, which spread to the offensive line deciding to not block for the rookie QB said HC drafted because he benched Cleo.

How this is obvious to me and not everyone else is staggering.

Huh??? Broken away from what? Everything I've been reading says the only thing he's been good at is throwing a football into a plastic container.

The QBs were all equally as bad from the start. This entire week Beck has impressed everyone with his throws, timing and accuracy. Suggest you read the PBP blogs for more information.

I thought that it was pretty much becoming common knowledge that Chad Henne had pulled ahead of the other QB's early and often?

Your biased opinions are pretty errelevant on this subject, and poking fun with those photoshop pics of our Dolphin players are pretty annoying, you must be a Jets fan. I try to ignore your posts, but its not easy.
