...but somebody has to get in. Inconsistent defines all these teams, plain and simple. Losing streaks, injuries, and questionable QB play are traits of all of them.

Any of them are capable of rolling. It looks like the Steelers are the current hot team of the bunch.

But we still play two of these teams.

To act like we're any worse than these teams is silly.

And keep in mind we have beaten two of the top five seeds in the AFC. Potentially a third in the Patsies. This team can't find consistency, but they have been competitive in each and every game thus far except one.

Beat the Jets, plain and simple. And we're right back in the thick of it all.

Make the playoffs? We are in the playoffs right now, every game determines our survival. It's week 12 and games still matter for Miami. We've been worse off, so let's enjoy what's left of this season.

What really sucks is the Jets lost and if things continue NE will also lose. We could have been in prime position and taken the final wildcard spot currently. However, the Lolphins never never take advantage of these opportunities. I cant remember the last time we won and everyone else in the division lost. To fall flat and disappoint is the Dolphin way.

I just wanted a chance in January. That is all. That is what is frustrating.

BTW, I think Baltimore or Pittsburgh could give the #3 seed a run.

I can't stand this COACHING STAFF for wasting this golden opportunity... I swear to you, even SPARANO would have had us with a better record at this point with this team...

If the Dolphins would have beaten Baltimore, Buffalo, Tampa and Carolina they would be primed to win the AFC East right now.

AFC East? We'd be fighting for the #1 seed.

But we are not consistent. We got a developing QB, ravaged line, and poor running game. To say if only is to say if we were a different team altogether. We are not. We are what we are.

Question now is can we find a way to string some wins together?

The decimated offensive line and no running game has killed the teams playoff chances, but I think Sherman has also hurt the team with his play calling. I don't have much faith in this team, with the way they have been playing lately, to win 3 of their remaining games. Just going to be tough to beat a team like the Jets ,with a good defense and solid running game, twice. Also will be tough winning in Pittsburgh and Buffalo. I do believe they find a way to beat the Patriots.

I wish I could see them finishing 10-6 or even 9-7 but if I had to make a prediction now I would say 7-9 is more realistic.

Geno is good for at least one cluster**** game, if not two. At minimum, we split with the Jets. I am more worried about Buffalo honestly. And I already have us down for a loss against the Steelers.

I had us down for a loss with Carolina, heck, I thought we'd get blown out. Yeah we lost, but I didn't expect us to lose like this. This team is just so frustratingly unpredictable.

I believe we split with the Jets and beat the Patriots. I don't see them beating the Steelers or Bills. Hope I'm wrong but a team with no running game trying to win in Pittsburgh and Buffalo is going to be an uphill battle. I'm not all that impressed with either of those teams but they are more then good enough to beat these Dolphins ,(Buffalo already proving that).

"dont have much" faith is way more than the faith I have, which is "none".

the 1 team u left out op is the chargers.

the chargers i know r also 5-6 and we beat them, but to me, they have been the most consistent. also the fact that they can score pts on a weekly basis, they r dangerous.

rivers is playing real solid this year.

Dan Patrick just asked the NBC panel about the last playoff spot in AFC. San Diego, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore were all mentioned to have a chance. The Titans(who currently have the 6th seed) Jets(who have a rookie QB) and Miami got no love from the panel. Not that I care what the panel thinks(Hines Ward and Rodney Harrison suck, Tony Dungy is ok)but no one ever gives the Dolphins any respect. They don't believe the Dolphins can be clutch down the stretch. This is the image this franchise has taken on and it sucks. The Dolphins have had a lot of adversity this year(injuries, controversy) but with all the money we spent in the offseason we need to start winning and change the perception of this team.

They probably mentioned San Diego b/c of their win over KC, Pittsburgh b/c they've actually made the playoffs the last few years, and Baltimore b/c they're the defending champs.

Tennessee and Miami have done nothing of late. The Jets have no chance with Smith as their QB.

I do think if Miami won today they would've been mentioned on NBC.

They had a 3 game losing streak before today. I wouldn't call them consistent unless you meant they were consistently losing.
