Have you all really ever watched Daunte play? Have you seen how many times he fumbles and is sacked? How many plays can a team afford to waste every game?! Sure the guy makes some spectacular plays and has a rocket for an arm but can we afford the brand of football he plays.

Has any quarterback in the leauge fumbled more times/dropback as Daunte. He has got to be in the top three since he was in the leauge maybe all time. Someone help me out with some stats on this.

What this team needs is a Quarterback to take care of the football, get it in the hands of our playmakers and make good decisions. I have never seen Daunte exemplify these characteristics. Would you rather have one or two incredible throws a game or do you want to win?!

I will take Trent Green any day, date or time over Daunte. Have you ever seen Trent Green speak and communicate? This is the kind of person I want to see mentoring Beck. Someone with high character, a good smart decision maker, and someone who understands the game.

Without Moss Daunte proved to be a below average, losing quarterback. Why do so many people want him as our quarterback. I appreciate how he is battling back from injury and I hope he gets his shot but not with my team! Does anyone think he will be better now than before his injury? If not than he will be the same fumbling, getting sacked, holding the ball, only looking for the big play quarterback that he has always been.

I want to see points and wins....what about the rest of you?

How about supporting someone (Daunte) who is actually on the team as a Miami Dolphin, rather than supporting someone who is not even on the team!

Are you not concerned by the season Trent Green had last year?

Trent Green: Consistent quarterback w/one bad season....not really.

Daunte: Inconsistent quarterback w/ one good season...very concerned

:deadhorse :ban: for even starting a new thread about this.

If Culpepper is on the Dolphins roster this training camp then the Dolphins brass are idiots, and I don't think they are idiots. Nobody in their right mind pays 6.5 million to a backup QB who can't get healthy.

Neither QB is the answer. Maybe Beck. Either way, we need a young QB not some guy on the last leg of his career. They can trade Daunte for all I care. Never liked him. Like Vick & McNabb, I think he's overrated. Green... why exactly are people so excited about him?

Living in Minnesota for the past 6 years, I can almost guarantee I have seen Daunte play more than you have...And even when he was a Viking, I defended his play to Viking fans, because he is a good QB...

I am not advocating that Trent Green is the answer just a much better option than Daunte. To the Minessota fan, if he was so great then why did you have to defend his play.

Turnover Machine and poor decision maker...that is my biggest gripe against Daunte. Once a fumbler always a fumbler with the exeption of Tiki Barber, but Daunt can't change the way he holds the football now can he?

How about waiting and seeing to see if he CAN get healthy before you say he CAN'T get healthy. Obviously, the staff believes he can get healthy because if he couldn't, he would have been waived a long time ago.

theres no comparison...daunte is in a whole other league when healthy

Our team is pretty clever so they are creating the perception that Daunte is going to be healthy, they will rave about his fitness to build a trade value and at least get something for him instead of waving him.
