I'd like to follow the NCAA 2006 football season but, there are so many teams that I've always felt intimidated. I don't have 10 hours a week to dedicate to college football, especially durin the NFL season. Realistically you draft buffs, how long do you guys spend readin up on NCAA football? I'd like to know who's who when its draft time but, I dunno, should I stick to NFL only?

stick to what you know.. In all honesty most people see the draft boards put out by the big scouts and then twaek it to their likeings...why do you think you never see more then a 1 round mock. there is no way for them to follow all the schools by them selfs. You need a team of scouts, film and it help to see them live.

You can sign up to websites like http://www.scout.com/ and you too can be a "draft guru"

I follow college football a lot and i will tell you There is no way to be an "expert" on your own.

I work for the government. Certain weeks I spend 40 hours reading/watching college/NFL games when my workload is slow.

For my birthday Im going to treat myself to a TiVo and a DVD Recorder. :D

don't bother with making it something you have to do. just flip through the channels and find a game that's got some excitement. you'll be hooked in no time and eventually you'll love even the boring games, and soon you're judging players left and right

or just listen to what sportscenter tells you

I've noticed for the last four years that I've watched tons of College football, that even know all the announcers.

Just keep looking at stats and the big games. There is always a good game to watch on Saturday. You might also want to look into the college football packages on your satelite so you can catch all the games.

If you can afford it, get Tivo. Greatest invention ever. Then you watch games when you want. Plus you can get through games much quicker by skipping commercials, haltime etc.
