who are you trying to cut?

We got Ginn/Bess/Camarillo/London/Wilford/ already..
No way the first three are cut..
Wilford should have been cut, but i heard it costs the same to cut him as to keep him on the roster..

London is good, he's really young still, has good size and made some nice grabs last year... He didn't get open much, but i got nothing bad to say about him, he's also good on STeams...

We won't have 6 WR's on the roster, not on this team..

I think we should either draft a guy or sign a VET and draft a late rounder WR...
Wilford is the most experienced and the worst leader, so I'd love a Torry Holt/Marvin Harrison to teach those guys wassup...

I'd like to see Holt, Ginn, Bess, Rillo & Nicks .... Wilford can ride the pine if he doesn't improve or maybe we can trade him for a basket of new jock straps.

Can we stash London out of sight somewhere?

I have no problem cutting Wilford and/or London.

I know people around here love London, but he is completely unproven at this point. Maybe he'll turn out to be pretty good, maybe he won't. He wasn't good enough to unseat Sinorice Moss or D.Hixon fromt the Giants.

I'm not hard up for a vet receiver like some are, but if we are sitting at 25 and a player like H.Nicks is top on our board, or at 44 and Kenny Britt is the best available, Brandon London is not a reason for me not to take them.

I don't want to draft a WR. We have enough young WR's with potential. I would like to get a vet and drop Wilford.

NOT TRUE AT ALL. The Giants desperatly wanted to keep all three but they had way to much money invested in Moss and Nixon already. Coach Coughlin had no choice but to move him to the practice squad. He was very upset how we swept in grabbed London the day after they moved him down. It was all over the news papers up here in jersey. Again get you facts straight before posting such crap. London probably has the best potential and athletic abilities to be a true number one out of all our young current recievers.

if people dont see what marvin harrison can bring to our table. i just dont get it. its like having duper or clayton around darn sure would help ginn or bess get more breathing room to run after a possible catch. Henne to ginn. TD. Heck i hope we can keep john beck too, hes been back there 2 yrs. now and hes got the arm.. I cant wait till preseason, only to be blocked from seeing any of those games.. up here in tampa they block them all..It really stinks.

LMAO!!

Get my facts straight?

Way too much money invested in Moss and Hixon?

Moss is in the middle of his rookie contract which paid him only 3.5 million over 4 years (avg 875k) and Hixon is making 500k this year, likely less last year. This was not a 'cap' decision, if he wanted to keep London, he could have. PERIOD. I'm sure that he wasn't happy about losing him, but I never stated that did I?

I hate to argue with a fellow Osprey....but you're being a little abrasive here.

We're not getting rid of Wilford... Not at his cap hit number.

I can see us definitely drafting a WR.. and not signing any vet. Every great receiver had to be drated by somebody... we'll just have to satisfy ourselves with us drafting one.. as it should be.

I'm hoping the fire was lit under Wilford this season. It's got to be pretty humbling to be in his position. Let's hope he makes the best of his second chance.

Then again.. HE maybe traded for picks come draft day...

so is he staying or not?

the NET for cutting Wilford is about -1.5 million I believe....that is not enough to tie up a roster spot on someone who's not going to contribute. If they can find someone better, he's gone.

you get rid of London and you put a big hit on your special teams...

id cut wilford regardless of the cost, he doesn't play special teams and he doesn't do **** for us in anyway... get rid of him and either bring on a vet or give a high draft pick... but i dont think we'd do both... because with the focus we do give to special teams London is an important piece to this team

i would get rid of ANY of them, or ANY COMBINATION OF THEM
to draft MICHAEL CRABTREE or HAKEEM NICKS!!

it is just so funny how fin fans get so attached to any player who makes a couple
plays in a season. most of the real talented wr's make more big plays in 2 games
than ours do in a whole season!!

its because we have not had any REAL TALENT here for so long.

those guys you mentioned, ginn and bess and camarillo? i like them but they are all marginal players, nothing super special like crabtree and nicks.

and YES, i AM comparing college players to a nfl one year players. those two have
more talent in there left one than all those guys together.

these wr's of ours CAN be upgraded and SHOULD, if someone is available [just like
any other player on the team].

I think we will be drafting a WR early. I think as early as round 2.

Ginn, Camarillo, Bess, and London are going nowhere. Wilford is only around because, like you said, his cap number and the cost to cut him. With that said, if we bring in another WR, I think they will bite the bullet and take the cap hit with cutting Wilford.

We have a lot of good young talent, but we don't have a guy to become a dominate #1. Camarillo may even start the season on PUP.

I really think we will be adding a WR in the draft. Wilford, despite his big cap hit, will be the odd man out.

if i hear any more LONDON hype i am going to friggin' blow the planet up!!!!

WHAT? WHAT ONE FRIGGIN' THING has this guy done to atract so much hype
and so much hope?

i can not remember one stand out, game changing play of his ALL YEAR!!

and i tivo ALL of the fins games and watch them over and over. and i do not
remember ANY play of his. i think he was on the field all of 10 times this year
anyways! why limit a guy to such short time if he is soooooo special?

if london is one of the starters on opening day we are in BIG, BIG trouble.

how are we going to keep up with all the point makers that are now in our division?

we dont have ANYONE who can match up with terell or moss and i dont see any
rookie coming in and shutting them down.

so, if we cant stop them then we better be able to match them.

but, we will need a whole lot more than london HYPE for that.

you don't watch too closely (and I'm one of the ones who agrees that he gets too much hype)
