To all you people bashing Maxwell....

Not sure what you're to prove. I guess we can say Maxwell had a good game, but what the previous 8 games? Why was he benched for 2 games? All I know he's supposed to be our best corner and I have 0 confidence in him.
 
Not trying to prove anything. Just tossing a hand grenade for fun.:lol:
 
In the article they said Rivers threw "3" picks. Smh.

He keeps the defense on the field when he start to hold the receivers, he doesn't have good technique and he will hold at any side of the field like he did Sunday, it's like he takes pride in it, and the way the Refs was was calling penalties I really question his skill set, Joseph need to talk to him about that because they are going to lose a game because he have his hands on the receivers beyond the 5 yard zone.
 
Part of Maxwell's higher than expected season rating is the 10 passes defensed he has accumulated. Each of those PDs is a potential 3rd down stop. When we had to stop Gates because he was killing our defense, VJ assigned Maxwell. I do not remember Gates catching a single pass while Maxwell guarded him. That speaks volumes many of you will resist to acknowledge.
 
He sucks plain and simple. He was gift wrapped an int and even then he looked like he was looking for a way to drop that with that awkward jump catch thing. Everyday closer
to him on the bench is a day closer to happiness for me.
 
You guys can't expect Maxwell to go out there and shut down the opposing teams best WR each week. He's been solid... bad at times and good at times. I much rather have him then Brent Grimes right now. He's got good size which really helps us and he does a fairly good job of keeping everything underneath him. Honestly, without Reshad on the field I expected us to see much worse. You gotta take the good with the bad though.... he's been "good enough" and sometimes that's all you need.

Wow a 28 year old CB in his "prime" making 63MM was able to shut down a 36, shell of himself TE. bravo.


Since Maxwell is definitely one of your family members I'll keep it polite and just say he's not good.

He didn't shut him down. Gates had some drops that he normally catches. Maxwell is gone after this season

He's overpaid but not as bad as people around here are making him out to be. His salary probably seals his fate but hopefully he can finish the season strong.
