first off i want to say congrats as it looks like the pistons will finally be knocked off in the playoffs. next i just wanted to ask a simple question of all of you. how many of you were actually fans of Dwyane Wade before you he was drafted by the heat? i mean to me in college Wade was nothing that he is now. he couldnt shoot the ball half as well as now. so thats the simple question, how many of you were fans of wade or even heard of him in college.

I am not a huge college basketball fan, and I don't watch college hoops until the tournament. However, when I was watching ESPN one time I think in his sophomore season, there was a story about him and I instantly became a fan of his. I watched a few Marquette games with Travis Diener and Dwyane Wade leading the way, although I never had the NCAA Package to watch more than what was nationally televised.

I wanted Miami to pick Dwyane Wade in the 2003 NBA Draft though. I was also a huge Chris Bosh fan, but I knew he was going to Toronto at #4, which is where Miami was originally slated to pick but luckily, the ping pong dropped us down 1 and we picked winded up with Wade. I cover the NBA Draft for my team, and Wade was truly the guy I wanted in the Draft after the lottery.

I've always watched and cheered for UConn though, so I guess you could say I was a huge Caron Butler fan in college. I almost had a heart attack when I saw him fall from his projected #4-8 area all the way down to #10 to Miami.

I watched the NCAA tournement because of Wade that year, once marquette started getting a little hype with Wade I started watching

Everyone was saying 'Miami Will probally take T.J Ford' and I kept thinking NO TAKE WADE

He couldnt shoot back then but he always has had that 'It'

T.J. Ford was my second choice, but I knew he didn't really have star potential. You could see it in Wade........

he led marquette to the final 4, id say thats pretty damn good...

Wade was an amazing college ball player. I say a game where he had like 25 points, 15 assists, 10 rebounds, 7 steals, 4 blocks

He was like that through the bracket too. A stud.

I never heard of Wade in college, but he has turned into a great pro...that shot he made flying down the lane, getting fouled and reversing it off the backboard was sick.

detroit got this far, with DEFENSE, and there just not doing defense, they will lose.

yes it was diener and wade leading them.....and the funny thing is i once mentioned that in college travis was the better shooter then wade, and heat fans just ripped me apart....but if they would have watched them both in college, diener was the better shooter, but wade was the better all around player. but yes wade has become a great player...if travis would get some PT in orlando, he would show he can shoot the ball as well:D

THat is my exact story. I am a huge UConn and Caron fan(even have his heat jersey). I wanted Bosh then Wade. I wish the heat could do something to get caron back

i didnt know much of wade until the final four.....but this question is kinda stupidd and i dont really know where ur going with it......i knew we had gotten a special player when we picked him 5th but i never thought he'd be what he's become.....even shaq said he's surprised

i didnt know much about d.wade until he was playing with the heat..i watched the NCAA tournment that year, but i didnt know he was going to be a superstar in this league...when the heat drafted him, i liked the pick, but i didnt know he was going to be this good
