To consolidate my point: Ginn is, at best, a possession receiver. I’ve heard: 7 catches for 1st down. Great. That is a possession #2 or #3 guy NOT a #1 WR that we spent a 1st round draft pick on.
1st round, #1 WRs MAKE those two catches he blew in the end zone. Do good receivers drop balls? Yes, of course. But they make up for a drop with a catch, not another drop.
We are a tough, physical team and Ginn is neither tough nor physical. If we want to be a running team who utilizes their #1 WR as a possession guy (for those of you who will argue “our style of play”) then we need a Hines Ward type player who plays tough, BLOCKS, and makes the most of his opportunities by catching balls in the end zone.
