DE Chris Long. He's the most complete player at the top of the Draft, the most NFL ready, and he has off the charts intangibles. Plus, this guy grew up with money, and grew up with being constantly compared with his Hall of Fame father. Money and pressure isn't going to change who Chris is. He's lived with it his entire life. Chris is a hell of a football player, who just has a unique passion for the game, and is most likely to have his contract signed right away. You can tell he's already geared up for Training Camp.

Jake Long is going to be a LT. Your descriptions are skewed to favor certain players.

Dorsey oft injured? He has never missed a start a LSU. He was dinged up but never seriuosly injured.

Chris Long is good player but he's not a complete player. If you don't run the 3-4 his size will limit his effectiveness. There is no guarantee he will be a star in this league. If his dad wasn't Howie he wouldn't be rated so high. I'm not saying he hasn't earned it because he has. I just think it's added to the hype surrounding him. I think he's a little small. He's essentially the same size as Roth. Roth gets pushed around.

chris long chris long chris long period! The guy is going to be a demarcus ware type player that gives instant pash rush off the end but will play the run better than ware. He's versatile and will give us a huge piece to build around. safe pick and a for sure pro bowler.

I feel the same way about Vernon Gholston - the same player who's given Jake Long fits, and I believe has more upside in the pros than Chris Long, especially in the 3-4.

I think there are some political pollsters who would love for you to come up with their questions.

i'd be ok with anybody up there, but chirs long. sorry just never been sold on him. i'd be fine with jake long at RT. 30 million gauranteed should only really go to a qb. dorsey is a beast, who will probably fit fine into a 3-4 (better than long imo) and his injuries wouldn't keep me from picking him. gholston disappeared, but it was just one game and probably fits best in the 3-4. i think the sexyest pick is mcfadden, so i chose him.

mcfadden = BPA and could turn a franchise around, starting openning day.

that is why I chose a poll :winkwink::winkwink::winkwink:

Dorsey was injured alot, now you are the one spinning things

Mayock is right on in regards to Darren McFadden. I would not touch him in the top half of the first round.

Exactly. Make the selections real and not based on your bias opinion.

The guys played all year after a cheap shot at his legs.

And essentially may be the same player. All we heard when Roth came to the Fins was how good his motor was. And now we are going to pay 30+ million for the same player. C'mon.

my attempts at skewing the poll are working

excellent!!!

im head over heels for Vernon Gholston now..

u know, i DONT care too much about the combines. some athletes get 4.24 on the the 40 time, yet they arent great receivers. some guys bench rep over 35, but they arent the best linemen or linebackers. some guys have the best vertical jumps, but they arent the best receivers or DBs...what i look for is the games, consistency....i love the guys who started all 4 years and were always consistent. of course, if they do real well in the Combine, it means they have POTENTIAL. for instance, Dustin Keller is at the top of the TE list with EVERYTHING, meaning he has loads of POTENTIAL. but he wont necessarily be a pro-bowl TE. Chris Johnson (RB) has the fastest 40 time so far, but he is NOT the best runningback there is. (personally i like Mendenhall and Rice the most).

with that said...i DO think Vernon Gholston benching 37 times, and doing REALLY well in everything else, is GREAT. but u watch Vernon on film, and he bull rushes EVERYONE, even Jake Long!! he somewhat disappeared in the championship game, but everyone disappears.

Jason Taylor wasnt the best player on defense EVERY GAME, was he? there were some games were im sure u never saw him. but i think overall, i would pick Vernon Gholston. he has the most upside to him. NO, u dont pick him at #1..but he can be picked at #5 id say. Combines are good to do, shows the potential and athleticism of these guys, but it certainly DOESNT show whos gonna translate into the best in the NFL...
