Just watched the press conference today on miamidolphins.com,

I am a big fan of this guy, i am, I like the way he thinks, he's very professional, and he's the right face for this organization for the long term IMO.

He won't slight his players, he takes the blame, and he has an obvious plan that he is sticking to, or he is willing to do things differently if he finds things aren't working, he has a passion for perfection and a a passion for winning.

That is why it is my belief that the players are on the same page with him, we haven't had an issues off the field nor has any player second guessed or really questioned openly, why cause they like him, he might be a hard *** but they know he has there best interests at heart, as well as the best interest of this team long term.

I have read Don Shula's book, I read Mike Shanahans book and I look forward to reading any book this guy writes because so much of what he says and how he speaks about focus, and process, and consistency, can be applied not just in football but in an aspect of life, or if you will in Business or at your job.

Things just haven't gone our way this year, but absolutely this guy is the right guy for this team for a long long time.

For what its work MY opinion, i look forward to getting ripped now.

I agree with every word....sorry for not ripping you. :)

What is it, and why do you think he should be sticking to it?

I don't know what his masterplan is, I am sure that they outline objectives at the begining of the offseason and do their best to work towards them.

The key is not to change those plans when things go wrong, or right, which he won't do, that my friend is leadership.

It's on the website, miamidolphins.com you need real player to watch it. If you wan't i can see if a transcript is availalbe and post it?

He obviously has a plan...I think it's to find every way possible that we can lose a game...then we won't lose another one....ever.

Hey...Saban is fine...it's just the team as a whole that is hell bent on being very creative in how they lose games.

Like I said..they will run out of ways to lose games pretty soon...then everything will be roses. I HOPE.

Not to change those plans when things go wrong. So said the Titanic's captain, I'm sure.

Oh, that's priceless.

The plan is to build a long term successful football program.....wins and losses, at this point in time, should not effect that plan.

No rip needed. The guy is a damn good coach, if it takes a little time to right the ship so be it. He isn't a god because he won six in a row last year and he isn't a goat because he's 1-6 now. I actually think that the stars are aligned for a quantum leap next year, I remain optimistic.

Just post the link to the transcript. And thanks.

Wow, a rational voice that can actually recognize Saban is decent enough to give him half a chance to turn this around. The fins would need to go under 5 wins this year and next year and then get off to a horrible 4th year start before I'd call for his neck. It's just not logical or even reasonable to ask for a miracle in under 3 years considering what Dave did to this organization.

Ditto.

It's time for fans to come to grips with the massive building project Saban is undertaking.

Here's a clue:

Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor will not be on this football team when Saban is finished building.

Those fans with "man love" for either player may get mad, upset and downright unruly while trying to respond to this opinion, but... it's the face of things to come.

Jimmy couldn't get rid of Dan and retool the offense. It was against all that was holy in Shulaland. That fact ended his tenure.

Saban cannot build this team until the Jimmy Johnson era is finally removed from this team. These 4-3 square pegs simply do not fit in our 3-4 round holes.

Guys, it's going to be a few years. Either come to grips with the hard facts and let him orchestrate his plan or rush Saban out the door and hire some chump off the street and give him 2 years then fire him. Then, repeat the cycle continually until no Free Agent wants to come here and we become the laughing stock of the league. All the while, our fans continuing to think there is "Lightning in a bottle" and ANY franchise can be turned around in 2 years, regardless of the situation.

We are not "great" any more. We haven't been for at least 10 years. Wake up.
