Has anyone read or heard the rumor about the Dolphins being interested in Todd Haley as head coach next year? Do you think it might have been leaked intentionally to fire up the players even more to play harder for Campbell as it is apparent that they want the interim label removed from his title. A decisive win tonight will almost solidify Campbell as our new head coach. Thought???
 
I think that's reading way too much into things.

More likely scenarios:

1) Some reporter throwing stuff at the wall.
2) Haley's agent seeing an opportunity to get his name out there.
3) Ross went full ******.
 
That was reported last week before the Houston game as a rumor. If the wheels fall off the Campbell bandwagon, then it certainly is possible.
 
JLC started the rumor stating because Parcells is being consulted again he'd recommend Haley as he was always a Haley backer. But the next time JLC is right will be the first

Haley is a loose cannon. Now that he's off the NFL GM and above blacklist, Tannenbum, I'd think, will want to rehabilitate and bring in his butt buddy, twice failed HC Eric Mangina.
 
We should hire Jim Caldwell after he gets fired from Detroit. He'll lead us to the #1 overall pick and then we can load up, fire him and get a real coach.
 
I'm sure the Dolphins have a short list of candidates they are interested in, the list ranging from Payton to Mangini to Haley to whomever else. But that list remains simply a list until the end of this season - Campbell has every opportunity to win this job.

Is it possible for an organization to remove the interim label, or does the Rooney rule still apply here?
 
if Ross was smart he'd listen to his players.
Their all playing their hearts out for this guy.... isn't that whats its all about?
 
I think we found our next HC. Not just because we destroyed our last two opponents. But because he brings a style of play that is time tested and always gives you a chance to win. Physical at the POA, balance, not over-relying on your QB or any one position - this works and always will work. This is what got Seattle to the last 2 SBs, won the Ravens 2, the Bucs, steelers in '05 or whenever it was etc. Then throw his incredible leadership abilities in the mix and you have a winner. **** Haley - he sucks. Let him keep coordinating where he belongs. Duck pagano, Payton etc.
 
Yeah because when building a perennial playoff contender, the first guy I think of to coach is Todd Haley.

Fins do this and they're back to laughingstock league, Tannenbaum and Ross would be hunted. Don't buy it one bit.
