Who is this idiot. Says the 8-8 Chargers are for real and we're also ran's because we're from a dysfunctional division?

"The Cardinals, Dolphins and Vikings have as much chance of winning this year’s Super Bowl as the Toronto Blue Jays."

It's only a tough division if the Patsies win it. These games are played on the field, not in the papers or on the web. The more we win, they less they talk.

Who is this idiot. Says the 8-8 Chargers are for real

They are for real, they've always had the talent, and they displayed that talent late in the year by dominating 3 of their last 4 games they played. If L.T. is even close to being the L.T. of old, they are going to be very tough to beat, for any team.

...and we're also ran's because we're from a dysfunctional division?

Here's the exact quote: "Miami won the AFC East — tremendous accomplishment. But the fine print says that winning the AFC East in a year when Tom Brady was absent, the Jets were dysfunctional and the entire division got fat on the AFC and NFC West takes a bit of the shine off it."

Everything he says in this comment is true. The Patriots very likely would've been at least a couple games better with a healthy Tom Brady, the Dolphins caught a break there. The Dolphins also caught a break by Favre's putrid play late in the year. Like the author said, it's a tremendous accomplishment, but the Dolphins caught a lot of breaks along the way.

That part, he did exaggerate.

Chargers are a hot team right now, they're hitting on all cylinders.

But then again, we've won 9 of 10.

I really don't care what people have to write about us..I just care about how we perform on the field.

Nobody got luckier than the Chargers in winning their division. The Broncos gave it to them and the Raiders and Chiefs were just horrible.

exactly...writers write their opinions, and minus one or 2 things he said, everything else is just that...his opinion...

You would be wrong in that assumption. The Chargers are better than their record indicates, and as the author pointed out, they caught some unlucky breaks along the way.

"They didn’t come by that 8-8 record honestly. Included in the losses was the blown-fumble call against Denver that led to a loss. They also lost on a last-second touchdown by the Panthers, lost to the Steelers 11-10 in a game where Pittsburgh failed to score a touchdown. They lost back-to-back to the Bills and Saints during the ridiculous cross-country, cross-Atlantic road trip. And their loss to the Colts came on a 51-yard buzzer-beater by Adam Vinatieri. In short, they are a whole lot better than that 8-8 indicates."

The Broncos gave it to them

Oh, that excuse....

"They didn't beat us, we just beat ourselves"

I guess the Bucs also "gave it to them", I mean neither team (Bucs or the Broncos) had anything on the line. Who could lose to a team full of spares like the Chargers? <sarcasm>

and the Raiders and Chiefs were just horrible.

Didn't the Raiders and the Chiefs play us fairly close this year?

He should look before he leaps.....His beloved AFC WEST is the one where 3 of the 4 teams(and maybe the 'Bolts too)are looking for a head coach.Pathetic...Especially when 8-8 wins the division?LMAO!!! :sidelol:

They also have Norv. Which means awful play calling and always finding a way to lose when the chips are down. And Chambers, which means a lot of dropped passes across the middle. In one sentence he says the Chargers are better than their record, and in another he says the East got fat on the AFC West. Which is it?

How many more games could they have won? Would Brady have taken the field on defense when we destroyed them? Would he have had more than 400 yard passing and 60 yards rushing in a single game? More than 3 400 yard games in a row?

The other injuries the Pats had to deal with hurt them more than Brady did. And those injuries were as much the result of having to keep players they should have let move on and replaced with youth so they could pay Brady and Moss as anything else. Cassel won all the games his team let him.

Yeah, two 11 win teams and a 9 win team in our division, with the Chargers coming out of an 8-8 division. Yeah, our division is disfunctional.

You know, New England won 11 games proving they can win without Brady. They were playing as well as anyone at the end of the year, so to say Brady would have won a couple more games is nonsense. I wonder if Brady could win without the Pats!

How many ****ing threads are we going to have that talk about stuff like this? I mean damn, when will you or everyone else realize that the media gets paid to talk about **** like this and that's all there is to it. They aren't Nostradomus, they don't know what the truths are and what reality will be.

None of what they said is important to the teams that matter. It's pure entertainment to get everyone riled up. Do you think Sparano and crew sat in the locker room after the Jets game and said "Well guys winning the AFC East is good and all but don't feel too proud, I mean we had a **** schedule and the Jets were dysfunctional (which looks like they started talking **** to each other AFTER the Dolphins beat them). Don't feel proud guys, since Tom Brady missed the season, our winning the division doesn't count. Let's all go home and cry ourselves to bed b/c NBC Sports doesn't appreciate our season"

LET IT GO!

But the Chargers still lost those games. I don't understand how losing by 1 or on a last second TD makes them better then what their record says. Correct me if I'm wrong but the defense was on the field to stop Carolina one last time and failed to do so. If they were better then their record, then their record would've been better then it is.

The Phins lost to Houston on a last second TD, does this mean they are better then 11-5 too?

the phins have to just win and not apologize for it, at the end we can send all these non experts spam emails

The Chargers were in a division that had an 8-8, 5-11 and 2-14 record. The Dolphins beat all 4 of teams in that division while the Chargers did not.

That right there tells you the NBC Sports fellow is inaccurate but again, it's an opinion. Bears no merit
