I am very anxious for the start of the football season that for the first time in awhile I am watching some of the Arena football game on NFLN between Cleveland and Utah. Watching the game and they are raving about the quarterback for Utah who is destroying the single season passing records. His name is Tommy Grady. I thought to myself that I know that name, and then it clicked, this guy tried out for the Dolphins before training camp in 2010 but ultimately was not signed. The guy is huge at 6-7, 245 pounds. I wonder since he is such a star in the AFL and that Ireland kicked his tires a few years ago if the Dolphins would revisit him in the future. Could be nice competition with Devlin for the practice squad or future backup to Tannehill. You can check him out right now on NFLN.

Only so many reps to spread around. Looks like Devlin is the odd man out as it is ... reps wise, you're buried at #4.

Much different type of game....much easier for QBs. Very little pass rush. Usually just pre-snap read and throw, rarely see much progression or check downs. Very few defenders to maneuver with your eyes so staring guys down is ok. Kurt Warner is the only guy to ever make the leap in competition. He might get some looks though.

As you said, the Dolphins already kicked the tires there and didn't really like what they saw. A couple of teams have kicked the tires on Grady.
