There were two groups equally responsible for tonight's disgusting result.
The first group is the offensive line. They played horribly. Nails had his worst game since he has been here. They rarely opened up any holes, and they gave up too much pressure. Also on the two drives inside the 10 where only 3 points were scored, the line's run blocking was non-existent.
The other group was the officiating. The constantly called the defensive backs undeseved for ticky-tack contact and holding fouls. Failed to call a penalty when Weaver was hit three yards out of bounds. And to top it all declaring the play where Ricky fumbled a fumble. It was clear live that he was hit backward after his knee was down causing the loose ball. Also the replay was blatently clear in showing his knee was down before the ball came loose.

How about there so many people the line can Block.Opposing teams give no respect to Ray Lucas and stack the line..What you expect? As far pass blocking , I say for the most part Ray had time to throw the ball.

i got to agree with minus on the o-line you have 5 or 6 with the tightend blocking 8 or 9 defenders

Actually I do not. I was a center as a player, and it was expected that you were to win the territory battle even ehen outnumbered. Even when it is a 5 verses 8 situation you are still expected to win win at least 2 or 3 yards in territory.

can't blame officials -- the phins owned field posession all second half and couldn't move the ball...they turned it over twice and made mistakes when you can't. Williams ball was a fumble and the handoff fumble looked like edwards was in to block.
Good teams take advantage of every opportunity -- they never did anything with all the great strating postion in the second half. Every time the got the ball they were near the 50. They lost the gam ebecause they turned the ball over at the jets 2 and couldn't sustain a drive. not the refs.

Lets say for the sake of arguement, that Ricky did fumble it. If the refs were to have thrown a 15 yard flag on the hit on Jed Weaver, then we would have scored on the 10 yard pass to Ricky.

can never say what you would have done -- if donnie abraham at caught that ball in the first quarter we could have had 2 tds off turnovers. Ricky did nothing tonight -- no way you can say what they woul dhave done.
you have now lost 3 in a row and are sinking fast .... ray played well tonight but turnovers killed you more than anything else

Turnovers and the overturn of Chambers' TD hurt us the most.

It wasn't a fumble.:p

Half of your post is grossly incorrect. Ricky's fumble was grossly incorrectly called a fumble. On the replay it was blatently obvious that his knee was on the ground before he lost control of the ball. Any person with decent eyesight and a positive level of intelligence would properly rule the replay as a non-fumble. The refferee fell short of those qualities. The so-called tuirnover at the 2 was a fraud.
Now yes the not scoring on the play after Chamber's great catch was not ruled a catch, possibly running a different play on the so-called fumble play would have improved them.

Umm no...

... 1st learn how to count and then we can talk. No OL can block 8 or 9 man fronts on every 1st and 2nd down.

The blame goes on Lucas and Lucas alone. He fumbled on the 2-yard line, and then bounced how many balls off of the turf?

Things started down hill when this bum started playing for us, it's all on him. This is one hell of a GOOD team, and he has single handedly ruined this team.

Oliver...

85-how can you say Ricky didnt do anything tonight? They stuffed the run because they knew Lucas couldnt throw, they dont respect the passing game. They know our gameplan because its so vanilla and its the only we CAN do.Ricky couldnt do more than what we could tonight. It wasn't his fault.

Terrible officiating.Thats all i got to say.
maybe the refs felt that was the only way to get out of the meadow lands. i mean the refs are bound to miss a few, but i hate it when they control the out come of a game, and they did ya know!

when chambers controlled that pass, when his feet touched, play was over! that was a tochdown!
