I'm up here in GA temporarily but I get the games on Satellite Radio....on the broadcast, they were saying that they think Tony Bua will probably be cut...anyone have any insight? I know he made that hellacious tackle last year against the Rams, but has he really done anything else??

He hasn't looked to good at saftey in my eyes, the only way he makes it is because of Special teams I would believe!

He's most certainly done! I wished it would have worked out but it's not in the cards.

i don't know that bua fits in anywhere other than special teams. he is a liability in the secondary and will more than likely be cut.

i like the kid, as do many on here... but he was wildly overrated last year and his weaknesses have been highlighted since he has moved to S.

I dont think he makes the team, but the hit will go down in history.. it was our highlight of the season pretty much.

I just don't see how we makes this roster. We already have 4 safeties that are pretty much a lock to make the team and I dont see us going 3 deep at SS even if it is just for Special Teams purposes.

I don't know if it was so much that he was overrated, as much as he just got caught in an unfortunate circumstance. He was playing LB last year, in a system which was friendly to the smaller LBs. Saban comes in and puts in a new system where Bua was too small to play LB so they move him to safety, where he hasn't impressed. But Safety wasn't were he was drawing accolades last year.

he was overrated and overhyped... he was billed as the second coming of Zach.

he drew accolades for the hit, not his LB play... Pope drew (overrated) rave reviews for his LB play.

I agree. Wanny liked undersized LB and switched him to LB. Now he is in a very complex secondary system and needs to make adjustments and understand duties. A lot more responsibility. I'm not sure about his speed. He may still have some potential, but right now we are not seeing it.
