Rapoport notes the Dolphins are shopping the former starter, but he could be cut if Miami doesn't find a taker. Lippett missed all last season with a torn Achilles and hasn't looked fully healthy yet. The 26-year-old was a solid starter back in 2016, making 67 tackles and 10 passes defended. The injury, however, has set back his trajectory and could force the Dolphins to move on.

I feel bad for LIppett, I thought he was making real strides as a CB then he had that awful injury.

I hope we arent giving up on him too soon, this time next year or even late this season he could end up looking like a viable starter again

I was going to say the same thing, Albert. Or PUP. He’s physically not back yet. He can work on getting healthier.

I wonder if they could Just IR him. Might be a problem attempting to do that though.

Yea he is healthy, just not 100%.

He will get waived.

A team that needs CB options are trying to trade a CB lol . . . Sounds Dolphiny.

Maybe they will fetch a 7th or trade for another teams “gonna get cut” body . . . But not expecting much.

Tanks the one that should be on the block but whatev.

Maybe they tired of selling low.

Yeah he isn't getting traded. No way. Not with the massive cuts coming. Why trade for a player now? Bridgewater is different, that's a starting caliber QB who looked like one during the pre-seaon.

That is a REAL bummer. No question Lippett isn't back up to par but he was a fascinating prospect at CB given his size and showed a knack for coming up with a big play two years ago. Brutal injury to have at his position. Ugh, depressing.
