y would he be retiring he had a great year in the efl andhas a shot to make the team wut is he thinking and by the way even if he makes the min he makes more tahn 75 percent of americans

Only thing i can think of is off the field issues. Maybe he wants to get away from football and do something else. Shame tho because he was a top OL in NFL Europe. Would have liked to have seen him at training camp.

Another Spielman pick bites the dust.

Yes just like.... well lets see here..... umm..... well hell, what Spielman pick has bitten the dust before him?

Are you refering to the guy who's looking to be our starting LT this year?

Maybe you're refering to the 6th round pick who looks to be our starting RG?

How 'bout the other 7th round pick who has been starting for an injured Junior Seau?

Exactly, the guy who was drafted to start right away (costing a 1st and 4th rounder) that couldn't get on the field last year on the worse line in the league, that is far from a sure thing to start this year.

Or maybe its the Cornerback who got into trouble in college who is out for the season injured.

Or maybe its the special teamers he drafted in Pope and Bua who will never start for this team. When Pope was in there we couldn't stop the run with 9 in the box.

Regarding Hadnot, our O-line was the worst in the league so he hasn't accomplished a lot yet, we had no running game and little pass protection, get back to me when Hadnot is starting on a successful O-line.

Yeah, it would be that crappy draft, a draft completely blown away by Sabans 2005 draft.

He would have played guard anyway . way too slow for a tackle, I have seen him play in the NFL Europe. He is a mauler but not real quick.
And we have enough guards anyhow.
Nevetheless I liked his column about the NFL Europe on the Fins website. Seemed to be a pretty smart guy.

Wow that is a real calm and rational reaction......nothing like last year when a certain player did that SAME EXACT THING!!!! But yet some here still crucify the guy for what he did......what was that guy's name again????

C'mon I want to see all of the Ricky haters jump on the "I hate Tony Pape" bandwagon......c'mon, no double standards here. Pape is pulling a Ricky, retiring on the eve of training camp, at the worst possible time. I feel bad for this guy for the wrath that all the Pape-hates are going to show him!! :D
