Nice RealFootball365 piece extolling the TS's back to basics, KISS, Get-Rid-Of-Problems atmosphere he's created ....and apparently the Fin players are impressed too.

Excerpted:

Bill Parcells may have been the architect of the new structure in Miami and Jeff Ireland the civil engineer responsible for making the vision come to life, but head coach Tony Sparano is proving to be the quiet, masterful craftsman putting his own imprint on the new-look Dolphins.

At this point, Parcells’ work is mostly done. He’s looked at last year’s on-field product and made decisions about which parts stay, which ones go, and which are still needed. Ireland is now getting the contracts in place and keeping an eye out for the type of player on whom the franchise has set its sights. But it’s Sparano who’s making a team out of the talent on the roster.

Nice read. ALot of good things being said about the atmosphere in Miami. Who knows, maybe hard work, dedication, attention to detail, and execution might pay off in the long run.

I also liked the article. The cynic in me won't rest until it is demonstrated on the field, but I like having a positive sense of how things are being changed for the better.

The thing I believe is most telling about what's happening in Miami is that the players are speaking more about what Sparano is doing and less about Parcells. Almost universally, the players seem to be embracing Sparano's approach. All indications are that he, not Parcells, is the one shaping the team.

Sparano may not be flashy but he's a knowledgable football man, works hard to build relationships with his players, and most importantly as an NFL head coach, doesn't take himself too seriously. Good formula for success. Sort of a Bill Cowher-type...treat the players like men and professional football players until/unless they prove otherwise.

Take heart, Dol-phans...Sparano is the right man at the right time.

i also liked the read, lets hope all this conditioning and getting back to the basics is demonstrated on the field this upcoming season.

Yeah, eventhough Bill is a huge presence, Tony is the coach and it appears a pretty demanding but fair coach. I also believe that Miami, finally, has the right guy in coach and a great staff to run things. Really optimistic about the long term future, and hopefull for the short term that we will, at least, be very competitive with no quit in the team.

Thanks.

You're not so bad yourself.

You know...for a fat chick.

And you sweat surprisingly little.

So you got that going for you...which is nice.
