I've been reading on here everyone's opinion on what to do and who to fire.. Obviously Philbin and Coyle's names is right there at the top of the list.. So before we start whacking guys off at the knees.. who is really responsible? I think we need someone with inside info to make that answer..
Kevin Coyle.. is it him that is dictating the soft coverage of our DB's? or is it up to the DB's to say I'm more comfortable playing 8-10 yard from the LOS.. Is it Coyle that is responsible for the LB play.. or could it be the LB coach.. or could it be the LB's that just dont take instructions well? Or could it be that Coyle's defense would work IF all players did their part.. Such as if there was a decent pass rush, then playing 10 yards off the LOS is drawn up to create more turnovers..?
Is Kevin Coyle too egotistical to formulate the defense based on personnel strengths.. ?? Or does the guy just simply lack all common sense and orginizational skills?

Is Bill Lazor 100% for this garbage offense we've seen in the last 3 games? Did he not coach/teach enough in training camp..? Will his scheme work if the OL was better and does he refuse to adjust the game plan due to the garbage OL? Is Philbin dictating personnel and scheme and Lazor can only run certain plays due to the personnel on the field?
I do know that in the closing minutes of the Bill's game, we gave up on trying to win the game and it looked to me as if we were practicing our running attack.. Is this Philbins or Lazors decision?

Personally, I've been opposed to his hiring since day one.. but I tried to keep an open mind and hope that Ross and the brass knew him better than I did.. But I think its safe to say this guy has no clue how to organize and prepare his guys for a football game.. But where does the fault lie.. Has Philbin dictated the O and D play.. or is he a hands off guy and lets the DC and OC do what they want?
Philbin might be a good life counselor for his players.. but I dont see him as being a very effective General in charge of an army..
So until we know the inside scoop on the entire personnel and what they have been responsible for.. I say cut off Philbin heads and promote Lazor.. but thats only assuming that Philbin is the sole reason for the meltdown.. Being on the outside looking in, its hard (for me) to point fingers..
