I think there are some in the organization that are too soft. Some have it too good. Lazy-Boys, etc.
We need a mixture of a tempered tyrant and football genius.
I've dealt with a lot of men before, both in a military setting and in corporate. I've seen this before. One must rule with an "Iron Rod".
Please forgive any perceived conceit, as that is not my objective. Just my opinions.
Joe is a real nice guy. Nice guys generally do not make good coaches/leaders, generally.
Perhaps he does not have what it takes to instill a healthy amount of fear with coaching skills and inspiration. Fear of losing one's job.
An exception may be Tony Dungy. He's not a very emotional coach, but he got the job done.
Jon Gruden got the job done too. An extroverted guy and a bit of a tyrant.
My point, the top of the organization is way too soft, along with a lot of obvious mistakes.
The first guy for a HC in my mind is Brian Billick, I think he would be a good fit. I'm sure many will disagree, and to me, that's cool
Please forgive me for overstating the obvious.
