3 4 or 5 i'll shoot myself

I see your point on 4 5, but what's wrong with 3? He seems to be at the top of many teams lists.

i trust my gut and those were the 3 names that made me "queasy"

Your gut thought we would go 13-3 may want to question it some lol.

Seeing Quinn at the top really doesn't surprise me at the moment as far as names considered for us.

comeagainsaywhat? when did i say that

I'm done with "coordinators" ... gimme a damn Head Coach!!!

Oops my mistake I will fess up just quick glanced because your name stuck out and I picked a really old post (2012) lol but my point isn't completely wrong.

10 has a slight chance of happening. 9 through 7 do not

6? I think McDaniels is better suited to be a head coach now then he was going to Denver, but I think he's gonna wait for BB to retire and replace him.

5 through 1 are all coordinators I do feel will get interviews with various teams. Gase will probably be the toughest sell as his resume is really being Tebow's QB coach, and OC for a Peyton Manning led (and insanely stocked) offense. How much is him how much is Manning just doing his own thing?

I like Bevell's schemes, but I think his stock has taken a fall.

I've been a huge fan of Pep Hamilton since he was at Stanford.

Bowles and Quinn would be high on my interest list.

I think if you are making a top 10 list Mike Shanahan's name would have to be there.

then you are looking at a very unimpressive list outside of Harbaugh if you want "realistic options". Also fun facts Only 4 coaches since 2000 have won Super Bowls that weren't first time head coaches (Coughlin, Bellicheck, Carroll, Gruden). Everybody else were with their first team (Cowher was an interesting case though)

From that list my top 3 would be:
1. Jim Harbaugh

2. Josh McDaniels
3. Darrell Bevell

As far as coordinators go I wouldn't mind giving Brian Schottenheimer a shot.

I don't get it.

Someone please explain the fap attack everyone has over Harbaugh.

Guy is a loose cannon on the side lines. He takes over a team beyond stacked with talent and deploys the read-option to great success only to have NFL Def. Coord adjust and destroy his O. this year.

He wants 100% complete control over the team.

I don't get it.

The "100% complete control" part makes me a little queasy but I don't see whats not to like.

1. People don't like that he's too emotional. Thats only a problem if your emotions cause you to make mistakes, like Sparano calling a timeout on a turnover, or Bruce Ariens throwing the challenge flag on a turnover (lucky for him they changed the rule). Harbaugh never makes game management mistakes, not in the games I've seen anyway.
2. He's lost the lockerroom. I don't buy it for one thing, but we'll learn more over the next 2 weeks. And two even if he did lose the lockerroom that probably had a lot to do with the rumors that he wasn't long for his position, created by his superiors.
3. He picked a bad QB. Kaepernick has some extremely impressive statistics, statistics that put him in the same conversation as great QBs like Manning, Wilson and Rodgers. So either:
a) Kaepernick is not as bad as he's made out to be on here and is just having a down year for whatever reason. Its actually kind of typical for QBs to have a down year after going to the championship game, isn't it?
Or b) Harbaugh is even better than anybody imagines and has some crazy ability to elevate bad QBs to looking great, at least statistically.

Personally, I think Harbaugh is the best coach in the league by a wide margin. I think he's this generations Don Shula. The only question would be is he a good, or even competent GM?
