Top 10 Clutch QB's of all time

Do you think that there is a rule at the NFL Network that requires that Tom Brady be in the top five on every one of these lists?

Have you guys watched Tom Brady's career? he has 2 SB winning drives under his belt.

The fact that Steve Young is on that list is laughable, the man was handed the keys to a dynasty in SF and luckily won just one SB thanks to Jimmy Johnson and jerry Jones splitting up. He was awful in postseason against Dal and Gb in the 90s.

Suppose you put the best 2 players of all time at every position on the field, healthy and in their prime. Who plays quarterback? John Elway & Dan Marino.

Can't see how Dan would be less than 5th. 1st in career game winning drives, 2nd in career 4th quarter comebacks when he retired. Below Steve Young and Bart Starr is a joke.

"Marino is not just what some coaches call an impact player, a man who drastically alters the personality of the team," wrote Pete Axthelm in Newsweek. "He is a quantum-leap player who is changing the entire nature of his art."

'Nuff said.

I wathced him tuck and win. I watched his lb's fake injuries and win. I watched the real clutch man Vinatieri win. Brady is gay.

Seroiusly though Young was a joke and he had TO and Rice on the same team and that sorry *** Stabler ruined our three peat.

This is not a shot but postseason success probably knocked him doen a few notches. I agree about Young, it's a joke he's even on this list as he was nothing but a choker in january w/ talent Marino could have only dreamed of having around him.

He got a break in the tuck game but he did take advantage of it right? Peyton manning in that '05 div playoff game vs. Pitt got the benefit of that terrible INT being reversed and still couldn't take advantage.

He put Vinatieri in those positions w/ great end of game drives. The man is amazing, he is right up there w/ Marino and Montana as the best QBs I have seen in my lifetime.

Peyton manning got a break with that reversed INT and DID take advantage of it…9 yds to Clark, 20 yds to Marvin, 24 yds to Wayne…setting up a 3 yd TD by Edge. 2pt conversion pass to Wayne to get within 3. How is that NOT taking advantage of that break?

Another break was the fumble by Bettis. What did Manning do? starts at IND 42, pass to Wayne, pass to Marvin…and they are at the PIT 28….well within FG range (indoors). The idiot kicker missed the kick

Conversely…..the ‘clutch’ Brady after his break in the tuck game? From OAK 42, completes a 13 yd pass, incomplete, incomplete….1yd run puts it at the 28 yd line. Same spot Manning got the Colts to for MV's try….except in a blizzard, so can’t be considered good FG range….but Vinatieri is clutch, and he drills it.

Manning obviously did more for his team on the potential game winning drives following breaks…..but because NE has the clutch kicker….Brady is clutch, Manning is not?

It’s BS.

Subjective ranking but I don't disagree with #s 1 & 2 although I'd probably flipflop em. I think, in the QB pantheon Dan walks on water and comes close, but IMO, Elway's still the best somewhat on account of this list's topic.

He didn't take advantage of it b/c he couldn't even get his team to OT. He then got that rididuclous fumble by Bettis and saw his D return it to near midfield and STILL couldn't even gte the game to OT.

We all know that the K was the kicking version of Manning, insteaad of getting closer he's throwing the ball to the EZ on 2nd and 3rd and 2.

Brady in the SNOW got his kicker to the same spot then in OT never allowed Oak to even get the ball leading his team from the NE 34 to the Oak 7 for the GW FG.

The situations are not even close, let's also not forget that was Brady's FIRST playoff game. Manning was already an experienced choker and did so again despite numerous 2nd and 3rd chances against Pitt.
