Terry Bradshaw John Elway Bob Griese Dan Marino Joe Montana Joe Namath Bart Starr Roger Staubach Fran Tarkenton Johnny Unitas

U might as well take off 3 of those names and add Favre, Manning and Brady . . . because those may be 3 of the TOP 5, after all of them have retired.

Take off Griese, Namath and Tarkenton . . . and you have the top 10.

Marino, Montana, P. Manning, Elway, Brady, Favre, Unitas, Fouts, Bradshaw, Staubach,

just missed Starr, O. Graham, W. Moon, S. Young, Namath, Aikman, Tarkenton a few more could be added but have to stop somewhere.

I don't know how anyone could put Bradshaw in the top ten. Or Joe Namath (who had significantly more int's than TD's) in the top ten.

Tarkenton to me is an easy top ten. Fouts I like too, did things in a era that wasn't pro passing.

I'll only list players I have seen. Just to get an idea how much the QB position has been effected by rules throughout the years look at histories highest QB ratings, notice any old timers there? Not many!

My top 7 are Marino, Moon, Tarkenton, Fouts, Staubach, Elway, P. Manning, Farve.

Griese was great but I just can't put in two Dolphins.

Missing? Montana/Young, definition of a system QB. Both played elsewhere (other than SF) and didn't look that great. Montana was better than Young though.

Aikman: I think the Cowboys of this time might of been histories best team. I believe a number of guys could of done what Aikman did.

When Brady looks good against Miami (other than this year) I'll consider him higher.

Guys that I like but can't decide where they go because they might of had some faults:

Ken Anderson, Jim Hart, Ron Jaworski, Donavan McNabb, Ken Stabler.

marino,
montana,
Elway
Brady,
P. Manning
Farve

then it gets really tough after those guys

you still have young, aikman, staubach, bradshaw, unitas...(in no specific order) they are all too close to call. I havent seen much on these guys but i definately like the top 6 though

1. John Elway
2. Joe Montana
3. Dan Marino
4. Tom Brady
5. Peyton Manning
6. Brett Favre
7. John Beck (when it's all said in done LOL!)
8. Troy Aikmen
9. Steve Young
10. Terry Bradshaw

these are quarterbacks that i've actually watched for multiple seasons. obviously i'm joking and reaching by putting our John Beck at 7 but it would be nice huh?

My List:

1/2. Dan "the Man"/Johnny "U"
3. Fran "the original running man" Tarkenton
** These 3, in my lifetime, are the QB's that made Defensive coaches dreams into nightmares and changed the way the game is played today.
4. John Elway - The Comeback Kid
5. Roger "the Dodger"
6. Brett Farve - The hired gun
7/8. Joe Montana/Bart Starr - Both system guys but pretty good.
9. Joe "Willie" - the 4000 yd. man
and
10. Terry Bradshaw - The bald headed guy who won't be here when Peyton retires. Sorry to say but the truth is Terry was only soso. The Team made Terry not the other way around and if said team had not won 4 SB's there is NO WAY he would even be thought of on my list.

I think brady and P.Manning in their is not correct.Brady is 30 and manning is 31.Elway played till 37 and won 2 SB in the last 2 yrs.

so we can never project where this is going to go.If brady wins say 1 or 2 sb then he is going to have more sb apperance then any qb or if manning wins 3 more it changes the equation so lets wait till the finish. or they might get hurt like young and just retire.

Marino, Montana, P. Manning, Elway, Brady, Favre, Unitas, Fouts, S. Young, Staubach

(not in order)

I would take off Bradshaw before I would take off Tarkenton.
