Both of our 1-2 punch made the list.

Just a nugget of Achane's write up:

Achane's explosive run rate, the percentage of his carries gaining 12 or more yards, of 15.5% led the entire NFL, and was just over 2.5% higher than 2023 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey's second-place figure of 12.9%. The 2.6% gap between Achane and McCaffrey is around the same gap between McCaffrey and Achane's backfield mate Raheem Mostert, whose 10.5% rate was the seventh most in the NFL. Naturally, Achane's 7.8 yards per carry led the NFL among the 53 players with over 100 carries in 2023.

Achane's yards per carry average is jaw dropping to me every time I see it. It's not like he had just a few carries. I wonder if anyone with the same or more carries has even sniffed that average? Seems like it a bigger achievement than the attention it's getting to me.

If relatively healthy, Achane will be #1 on this list after this year. I know the national media likes to discredit Miami but what I saw was a hall of fame talent.
Achane is fantastic but I'm not sure a guy with his frame who tends to hit the ground the way he does will be able to avoid injuries. I think that limits his upside as a "great" since you don't want to over-expose him to injury, but he's a genuine factor when he's on the field.

There was a lot of talk about how he gained size this off-season, imo he did not, perhaps a little, and still has a lot of room to add legitimate muscle on the frame.

The scary thing is I fully expect Jaylen Wright to make that list next year. Not to mention, Jeff Wilson is no slouch when fully healthy.

Jonnu Smith and the emergence of Julian Hill should help if McD and Tua will use them.

Just think if OBJ and Washington pan out :)

Then we have Anthony Weaver and some additions on defense.

It’s all about whether he can learn to avoid contact. Lesean McCoy was very frail but had a long career because he mastered that.

With the RB's we have, at least once this season I want to see a play where one of our RB's is lined up as QB and the other two are in the Wishbone.

I’m not sure why Gibbs and Robinson are ranked so far ahead of Achane, I’m guessing draft position helps.

He had the best 3 to 4 game stretch in NFL history.
