Top 5 defensive players

I constantly remind myself not to get ahead of myself, but I say if J-Peezy stays anywhere near the pace he's on and we make it into the playoffs, he should be a lock. (However, That may be hard to explain to a Albert Haynesworth anchoring an undefeated Titans team)

I dont see him as a lock. Harrison has almost as many sacks and quite a bit more tackles as well as being better in pass defense. Haynesworth does things that do not show up in the stat sheet.

When talking value to a team, which is what the award is supposed to be, I would say Joey's value to this team is greater than Harrison's value to the Steelers. Taking nothing away from Harrison, but that defense is pretty deep, and Joey Porter is a much better candidate for MVP. (If we make the playoffs)
 
we make the playoffs and Porter is DMVP, no doubt.
