Tyson sucks...historically...

A good 3 year run doesn't put you in the top 10.

When he was in his zone no one wanted to box him and you know that man
 
Ray Robinson has to be on every list.

Still doesn't make him an all-time great. Lots of guys had great runs.

I'd put Big George Foreman ahead of him. Everybody was scared of him. He was the same devastating puncher Tyson was. He destroyed one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, Joe Frazier, when he was undefeated and in his prime (and had beaten Ali). He KO'd Ken Norton easily (who'd split two fights with Ali). KO'd Frazier again 3 years later. And Foreman won the title again at age 45.

Tyson never fought anyone near the caliber of Frazier or Norton (or Ali) during his reign of terror. The only stud he fought was Michael Spinks. Spinks is still remembered as a great LIGHT heavyweight. Larry Holmes was almost 39 when Tyson beat him.

Tyson COULD have been one of the all-time greatest. But his career derailed very early (age 24).

Almost got to 100 cleanly. I remember the Meldrick Taylor fight like it was yesterday.
