Dude it has been too down here since the New England loss combined with the insane number of injuries we are suffering through right now. So to change up things here are the Top 5 reasons why I am excited about the direction of this team. Feel free to add your own...

1) Minkah Fitzpatrick - from the first snap against the Titans you knew this kid was ready. He is always in the right place and knows his assignments inside and out. Most encouraging is how smart of a football player he is. He was so-so in the Raiders game filling in at safety with Reshad out, the next week he learned from his mistakes and was the best defensive player on the field last Sunday. He is a future All-Pro and going to be in the conversation for DROY.

2. 2016 Draft Class - Tunsil shook off the issues he had year one at LT and has drastically improved his game. He looks like a Pro Bowl level player through the first three games, though he had a couple mental errors last week. X is arguably the best corner in football. 7 INTs the last 9 games, he is a shutdown corner and a stud this team has been missing. Kenyan Drake whenever we actually let him run he is dynamic player and showcased why we let Ajayi leave. Jakeem has developed into a solid player and is a whis on special teams as a returner. His speed is game changing. Haack has been incredible through the first three games and looks like we made the right decision with him over Darr last year.

3. Godchaux and Taylor - two stud DTs that not only made Phillips expendable but Suh as well. Godchaux has been steady week in and out. He looks like a great nose tackle that can eat up blockers and constantly needs double teams. Taylor’s last two games have been incredibly and that is probably underselling it. He is a constant disruption to the interior of the opponents OL. He moves fantastically for a big man and his lateral speed is rare. To think we got these guys in the 5th and 6th rounds is mind boggling.

4. Turnovers from the Defense - we had 9 INTs all of last year, we have 9 in four games to start the season. Our players are smart and know how to create turnovers. McDonald, Reshad, Kiko, X, McCain, and Fitzpatrick all have generated them. Turnover differential is key to winning in the NFL and we have shown we will win this battle most weeks.

5. Chris Grier - I love trashing Tannenbaum as much as anyone, but there isn’t a bad word you can say about this guy. Our drafting has been excellent the last three years and allowed us to move on from overpriced guys like Suh and Landry. He knows what to look for in football players and has given this team something it has desperately lacked the last decade...a solid foundation built through the draft.

To close, we are 3-1 guys. How many of us would have loved to hear that in August? I know I would. This week was gut wrenching and the road is tough the next couple weeks especially when compounded with the injuries we have. If we can go 1-1 against Cincinnati and Chicago our next three are very winnable with Houston, Detroit and New York. There is a really good chance we are looking at 6-3 or 7-2 in the beginning part of November. This team is much better than last year and we are going to be in playoff contention throughout the season. Fins Up Boys!

Chris Grier sucks. Charles Harris. Reakwon Mcmillian Cordrea tankersley. The first 3 picks in 2016 and none of em belong on the field. He doesnt get credit for picking Minkah. The jury is still out on this years class but the team lacks talent all over the roster and Grier should take some blame. Drafting has been far from excellent

Playoff contention throughout the year HAHAHAHAHAHa. Thats funny

What makes anyone think we have a **** to beat Houston its on a shirt week on the road against a better version of Tyrod Taylor. Some of you people are delusional

So he only gets credit for draft picks if it backs up your take? Interesting strategy.

I thought the answer to this title would be "because there's an oncoming freight train headed our way", but nevermind, nice to see some positivity on a dismal week of Dolphins fandom.

At this time, many people are upset and frustrated at years of bad decisions. I for one am ok that Phillips is gone but very upset that we wasted yet another high pick and got nothing in return. 45 years since we won our last super bowl, coming back from a horrible loss and losing yet another high draft pick while the injuries are piling up. Maybe you should cut everyone a little slack for at least a few days.

Bingo! His picks have been iffy overall. Those three top picks in the 2017 draft have yet to prove themselves. Right now they have bust written all over them!

U make too much sense.

Unfortunately not for long. We just gave NE their confidence back.
That is the wrong attitude, Sir. If you don't think you're the BEST? You never will be. If you don't THINK you are a WINNER? You never will be either.

Do you think the ****ing cheating Cheatriots whined about 1-2 last week? I think not...

Case in point.
