### We hear the Dolphins are bringing in Mississippi State’s Benardrick McKinney, considered among the draft’s best middle linebackers, to Davie to meet with team officials.
McKinney could be an option with the 47th pick of the draft if he's available. NFL Network's Mike Mayock calls him "a big downhill player" and also says he is "a poor man's Lavonte David."

###
Another of the 30 confirmed non-local visits: potential first-round running back Melvin Gordon, who ran for 2587 yards on 7.5 per carry at Wisconsin last season. He's visiting next Tuesday.
The Dolphins also have closely studied Georgia running back Todd Gurley, the other projected first-round back. Kiper has Gurley going 19th and Gordon 24th. He said Gordon "has the explosiveness that you need from an running back taken this high -- he's a true game-breaker -- but he's also proved durable."

### The Dolphins knew Greg Jennings would be visiting Jacksonville this week and remain in the mix for him, along with Wes Welker. (Jennings is visiting the Saints next.) The Dolphins so far have chosen not to pursue Reggie Wayne. Those are the most accomplished receivers still available...The Dolphins have agreed to a deal with former UM receiver LaRon Byrd, who has played in five NFL games (Arizona, Cleveland) and joined Miami's practice squad last season befor a December shoulder injury.

I've heard some here say McKinney doesn't have the best instincts... Which is sad because he looks like quite the physical specimen.. But are we talking Wheeler level or maybe like Misi level? Who's a decent NFL player comparison?

i just don't know what I want from the draft; trade up for probable elite talent in Cooper/White or trade down to get more players to fill needs...

Which saddens me, but that doesn't mean it's totally impossible we draft him

It's an area of need, we have brought in other LB's, think its still very possible he could be the pick remember we have signed players in the past who have not visited.

That's what I was thinking too. No one knows anything at this point is my firm stance

Not at 14.....too much talent ahead of him....if we trade down?

Maybe we trade down but they are looking at other LB's that are figured to be drafted a little later so why not Kendricks, unless they think 14 is too high and he would be gone by second round. If we end up trading down it would make sense to have taken a look IMO unless we really don't have any interest which I find less likely of a scenario.

I'm not An insider....but I think they will wait until round 2 or later for a MLB.....they have looked at them all.

14 would be a reach in this Draft IMO....but if we trade down?

Zero mention of Kendricks so far, very interesting.

don't sweat who they aren't talking to stuff...my understanding is this kids gotten glowing reviews off the field and as a leader on the field and is clean as a whistle character wise...no skeletons in the closet to get answers from him on

WTF is Mayock smoking?

McKinney is a good fit. He'd make a lot of sense at 47, but I think he goes somewhere between 14 and 47.
