Torry Holt could be on the FA market?

lol, theres no chance he gets released unless hes got a career ending injury, in which case we wouldnt pick him up anyway. he had 90+ catches and 1200+ yards last year.

I know you're right, but they could still trade him.

Actually.

I read the same article and from the looks of it, and if you can believe pft it looks like if they dont release him soon, well, the best way to put it is the old ball coach and holt hate each other, if i could find a stronger word for hate then i would use it.

The rams look like they are spiraling out of control. I wouldnt be surprised if they only win 1 game for the rest of the year.

If i were going to make a move on holt I would try and low ball them and if that doesnt work wait for his release.

hate and a 6 million dollar cap number next year is a fatal combination

Talk about a clueless organization, who would release one of their best players of all-time while he's still capable of playing well (at least in a good situation)? Answer: The Rams.

Here is my prediction, Scott Linehan ends up trading him for a mid round draft pick AND, that is the last thing of real importance he does before he gets fired.

And what does that say if you're a Rams fan? The idiots running this team traded one of the last quality players you've had, and the bridge to the Rams glory days, while he can STILL play, before they were fired themselves.

It says they have a lot further to go than we do and last year i didnt think i would be able to say that about any team :err:

I think when matt millen was fired the rams moved ahead of detroit for the most inept team

I wouldnt trade for him right now. If he gets released however, it would make sense to take a look and make an offer. We have the money, and if we dont have to give up anything except money to get him.....why not.

Or we could give Ted Ginn Jr a chance to catch a few balls. Getting Holt now would be pointless. He doesn't know the system. If he's a FA next year, then hell yeah! We need a Veteran WR.

I agree with you that Holt will be pointless, however, as much as I love Teddy, he is not a true #1. We need a #1 and will have to address that in the offseason. There are several WR we can look at in FA.

The Rams are an absolute wreck right now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Linehan get fired mid-season.

How is that different than what we did with Taylor? Although the season is still young, the Rams are on pace to be the worst team in NFL history. Holt is one of the few guys on that roster who has some value. If they were smart they would trade him for some picks, blow up the current roster and begin the re-building process.
