Sounds like there's a pretty good chance he won't return to St. Louis next season.

I realize he will be 33, but I think he would be a great veteran receiver to bring in. He could teach our younger guys how to play the position and be a security blanket for either of the Chad's for the next couple of seasons. Plus, he comes a lot cheaper that Housh and is only a couple of years older.

at the right price he would be awesome

our very own Derrick Mason

im all for it. Davone Bess has probably taken more hits in his rookie season than holt has yet.

I am mixed. I want the true #1 wideout and I'm not sure this guy has a ton left. Holt would be great for the young receivers though. I could see Holt and Pennington actually doing some good things for a year. But I still want the go-to guy that puts fear in the opponent.

Would love to see it...

But I still think he lands with the Panthers. He has said in interviews he would like to play for them. There has been a lot of talk about him returning to his home state.

I think he has 3 good years and would be great for Henne's career

just say no...he is washed up...

agree. stay away from him. Go young, antonio bryant, sam hurd, devery henderson or draft!!!!!

To old. He has maybe one or two more good years left in him. He's at the twilight of his career.

FWIW, I've heard that his knee (or possibly both knees) are in pretty bad shape, with not a whole lot of cartilage left. If this is not the case, I see no reason not to persue his services.

if he is released, then we should look at him. he has been a top 5 reciever the last 10 years. Bring him in for a physical, if he passes then give him a job. We need a vet at reciever anyways. we have too many youngsters, we need someone to teach them. Who is better than torry holt? not a darn person!

I would be against it because he doesn't fit the big dominant number 1 wideout stereotype we need, a la Anquan Boldin. We have a younger version of Torry Holt on our roster right now, Ted Ginn. Before you all go ape-sh*t over that statement, consider their play style. Both very fast, smaller framed WRs with excellent hands. Their skill sets and size are extremely similar. We don't need another Ted Ginn-style WR, we need a big dominant game-changer....
