2009 Draft Picks-
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1
2
2b(Jason Taylor trade)
3
4
5
(traded it to Dallas in Fergus trade that swapped 6th's in the draft last year and had to give up our 6th in 09)
7
7b(from Travis Daniels trade to the Browns)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
(traded Josh McCown for a pick, but dont know what it is yet,but if I had to guess,I'd say its a 6th to replace the 6th we traded to Dallas....)

so far we have 9 picks for the 2009 Draft

I'm already liking that so far. Also, we the dolphins should get an early draft pick this year. Atleast in the Top 10. So we could trade up or trade down and acquire more picks if needed.

The Herald is reporting it's a 7th for McCown. I was hoping for a 6th too, but I'll gladly take anything for a guy who may have been released a few hours from now.

If Zach Thomas goes to the Pro Bowl, Miami should expect a high comp. pick... I think.

"Terminated the contracts of WR Marty Booker, QB Trent Green, OL L.J. Shelton and DT Keith Traylor; Waived T Anthony Alabi, DT Anthony Bryant, T Marion Dukes, DT Marquay Love and T Joe Toledo"

Unless LJ Shelton or Marty Booker explode this season, Miami shouldn't get any comp. picks for them.

It's great to see us stocking up on picks instead of giving them away. If I'm not mistaken the Dolphins got a 2nd and 6th for Jason Taylor.

Three seventh round picks we are looking at then.

Does anyone remember the last time we hit on a 7th?

hit how big?

Brandon Fields is starting for this team.....although it's hard to get too excited about 'hitting' on a punter if he's not a Pro Bowler

Abraham Wright and Rodrique Wright have stuck on the roster.

Devin Aromashodu (sp?) is a capable player (did the Colts sign him away from us or did we release him?)

going back a little further Jermaine Haley and Jeff Buckey were decent players.

What about the pick we got for Lorenzo Booker?

Didn't we get a 4th round pick for Lorenzo Booker?

We don't get Comp picks for cuts only FA's that sign elsewhere vs FA's that sign here. R.Hadnot type guys will get us some sort of low picks.
