There is buzz, rumors, speculation, whatever you want to call it that Toub will be getting a second interview with the Dolphins, possibly as soon as tomorrow. I said this over a week ago that I think he and is the most intriguing candidate, even more so than guys like Philbin, Zimmer and Chud. Yes, he is a special teams coach, but so was John Harbaugh. Andy Reid called him a future head coach and Bobby April said he is one of the best coaches in the NFL, regardless of position.

He might not get the job, but he would probably be my choice now that Fisher went to the Rams.

Really? Very Interesting. I was unaware of Reids endorsement for him. Thanks for the Info Nubs.

Of the list, I agree Toub is the most intriguing. There is something about him which makes me think he could handle the HC gig.

That being said, after the Harbaugh and Fisher fiascos, Ross and Ireland will be tarred and feathered if they hire a Special Teams coach to be the HC.

No problem with that, but it should wait next week IMO. The coaching dynamic changes on Saturday and then again on Sunday with playoff losses, possibly by the better teams. Maybe we get lucky.

As Dolphins fans, we want two things:

-Someone who WANTS the job

-Someone who gives a damn about solving the QB position.

If Toub says those two things to me in the interview, I sign him up.

Well depending on how fast they want to move on this now I think Toub, Zimmer and Philbin (if they want to wait) will get second interviews. Somewhere in there I hope we interview Chud.

You don't become great by playing it safe. You have to take chances and break out of the norm. If Ross and Ireland have a feeling that this is their guy, by all means do it. F*ck what the fans think, they're going to rip on you regardless of what you do...

He is an intriguing candidate, and if he has the endorsement of Lovie Smith and Andy Reid, that's good enough for me... But man, people will FREAK OUT if it's Toub. They better win quick, or Ross will have to give tickets away.

doesn't hurt the last special teams coach to get hired did ok in baltimore, i am pretty sure he will do a hell of a job as a head coach, but we need a coach that is going to bring some stability i don't if he has what it takes, maybe he proves us all wrong. but i would like philbin, because at least he will probably bring some coaches from the packers, or chudz who might bring mike shula with him, lets just hope he doesn't draft a kick returner and his family

Sure, why not. He's at least good at what he does. At this point, what does it matter. It's only another roll of the dice through 3 years of our lives.
