what's the toughest division in the nfl

This year I thin it will be the AFC West. All of the teams there have a shot at the playoffs. Ithink the AFC Central followed by the AFC East are next. Steelers and Ravens should be very good and the bengals will probably improve to the point of contending for the wild card

I would say AFC East but AFC West is pretty close also. I'd say the whole AFC conference is tough. It's a amazing how much disparity now between the two conferences. In the NFC you can name to teams that you can predict to run the conference, Eagles, and Vikings seem like the two teams likely to meet each other in the NFC championship game. But the AFC it's pretty hard, you got the Patriots, the Colts, The Chargers will most likely be in the mix, The jags with their tough defense were right behind Indy last year, The Steelers. Ravens with an improved offense, The Jets, Bills are gonna be really tough to, Miami isn't going to make the playoffs, but I think they will go 7-9 or 8-8, They usually play most teams tough, and think they will surprise some people next season, the games they lose will be right down to the wire. Jake Plummer and the Broncos will be hanging around also, Raiders are going to have a really good offense but not much D, the Chiefs are good also., The Bengals too. I almost listed the whole AFC. The reason I think the AFC is better than the NFC is not because they have a better offense, but a lot of the teams are more balanced than the NFC teams. The Colts don't have much of a D even though it's improved a little, but the offense is tops in the league. But most of the other AFC teams have good/ tough defenses. The whole AFC East will have pretty tough D. the jags, Ravens, Broncos, Chargers, Steelers. The NFC has The Rams which have a good offense, but their defense sucks, same with the Seahawks, the offense was pretty good but the D let them down too. I don't know how good their offense will be this year with the release of some of their WRs. Cardinals, potentially good offense, I think the D has to be a little better still, though. The Packers have an offense that will put up 30 points with Favre, Ahman Green, Javon Walker, but the Defense will give a team 30 points too, though. The teams that do have a good D, need more help on offense, the Redskins, etc, some that don't have much of both, Cowboys, Niners. The saints are just a talented, but incosistent team. One team that I almost forgot, that might challenge the Eagles and Vikings in the NFC are The Panthers. That is one NFC team other than the Vikings (with FA additions on D) and the Eagles, that have a pretty good/ balanced team on both sides.

There is no questions about it, it's gotta be the AFCE.

The two toughest divisions I think are the AFC East and the AFC West, but as for this year I think the toughest division will be infact the AFC West, but the East won't be that far behind.

i think the AFCE is the best... super bowl champs, playoff jets, underachieving bills (with bledsoe) and our fins who i think are greatly improved and have a legit chance of 500% play
