About AGL:

With Football Outsiders' Adjusted Games Lost (AGL) metric, we are able to quantify how much teams were affected by injuries based on two principles: (1) Injuries to starters, injury replacements and important situational reserves matter more than injuries to bench warmers; and (2) Injured players who do take the field are usually playing with reduced ability, which is why Adjusted Games Lost is based not strictly on whether the player is active for the game or not, but instead is based on the player's listed status that week (IR/PUP, out, doubtful, questionable or probable).

As long as NFL teams are solely responsible for producing weekly injury reports, we cannot say that every single injury has been accounted for, but secrecy is an unavoidable aspect of this side of the game.

:sidelol: @ The Giants.

I knew they were a disaster, but i didn't realize just how bad it was. I get that **** happens(David Wilson), and that they took some chances on guys with problems in college(Kenny Phillips), but the amount of players dropping up there is ridiculous. Then they stay dropped. It shouldn't have taken JPP +2 years to recover from that back injury. Harsh injury, yes. But other players are ready to go by the following training camp. As if to emphasis my point, they just lost their starting left tackle for most of the season.

Something is off there. Ive defended Coughlin in the past but he might have to be let go simply for his refusal to change staffs.

The amount of injuries don't matter, it's the positions that gets hurt that matters.
True. What really killed Miami last year were the injuries in the secondary. Miami survived Brandon Albert, although that was a big loss and the team did drop a bit. The Dolphins couldn't survive the losses in the secondary. Killed the defense and any chance at the playoffs.

This is partly true. Miami has also drafted some injured players like Taylor, who incidentally have had trouble staying healthy. That said, I think the team is looking at return on investment, so to speak, on some of the free agents. Delmas was an example of this. Buy low when he's coming off and injury and hope he can stay healthy. Good player when he is on the field.
