Just an idea to aquire more draft picks and since it is a pretty decent draft
would anyone want to do this????

And if so what two players would you like???

I'm not sure but I think they have #22 and #28
someone help if that is not correct...

Thanks,
Ron

Maybe a Dwayne Jarret and Leon Hall????

I don't have the point system in front of me, but off the top of my head the 22nd and 28th picks do not equal a top 10 pick.
Plus, I don't think the Pats would trade with a rival unless they thought they were robbing us blind.

this DOESNT HAPPEN in real life. it just doesn't. First off, we're division rivals. why would they ever, ever, give us two first?

They need those picks too. One for a young receiver (Ginn/Jarrett/Samardzja, im sure they dont care which one but i'd be shocked if they dont pick at least one of them for Brady's sake) and they need a younger LB. Im sure you've noticed the same way we've watch ZT and JT age before our eyes, so have patriot fans with Bruschi and Vrabel. They're going to draft someone like the Poz or Buster davis with there 2nd pick.

Why would we want to help NE get a better player? Why would NE want to help us get two good players? And why would they want to give up two good picks to move up to 9? Unless a player they love falls that far it would make no sense for them to want to move up to 9 and makes even less sense to do a trade like this with a division rival. It'd make more sense for them to move up to 8 to try and take a player they love and block us from getting that player.

Thank you!!
Makes alot of sense

New England would never trade within the division

nice dream...too bad Bill doesn't believe in football fairies...

Billy B. is alot like Saban, I really don't see him trading up. However if there is a no-brainer available at #9 that the Patriots just can't pass up, maybe they make an offer.

The Pats must have a spell on the rest of the league. How the heck did they get a 1st for Branch?
We got a 2nd for Surtain. Most teams just aren't willing to give up 1st rd picks...unless they are trading with the Pats.

But IF there is such a guy whose worth trading all the way up for...why wouldn't WE just draft him?

Surtain was older, and Ty Law being a free agent at the time wasn't helping matters. The Seahawks felt they needed Branch badly. The move worked out for them, so im sure their not too upset about it. Branch is a really good receiver. Personally im glad hes not within the division anymore. Also, the seahawks used the logic that their first rounder wasn't gonna be a very good one. And it probably wont. the pats are gonna end up with two first rounders in the mid 20's in all likeliness.

That would be stupid to trade a top 10 pick to the best team in your own division.

WE HAVE TRADED WITH NE!

without looking it up....I think it was about 5 years ago....
We had to have this guy ( I think It was Brent Smith) And we traded with NE
They took us for a ride. We got their 2nd round pick in that draft ( again, I am writing this WITHOUT any research) and gave them our following years NUMBER 1 PICK.
WE GOT ROBBED as usual!
