I've been watching the logjam at receiver and OLB/DE. Any chance some of these guys get traded for picks? Camarillo, Moses etc. I'd be interested what you guys think.

I don't think we will trade anyone like a Cam this yr. I could see us giving someone a WR like London or Armstrong for a conditional 6 or 7th rounder. Seems to be a lot of WR going down this yr. teams will not want to wait until cuts to bring in a guy so they may give us something now.

Every year quality guys around the NFL get cut in August/September.

Our "bubble" guys are good, but I doubt they're worth trading for.

It will be interesting to see how many WR's Sparano decides to keep. I would rather have one #1 WR and four or five decent support guys, then five or six average receivers. I think Ginn may develop into a #1, but he is far from being a top WR in the NFL. Camarillo and Bess are solid, but we haven't really had a top guy since Chambers was here. It sounds like Patrick Turner is having a nice camp, and he is big target. I would probably just stick with what we have, and then maybe look for another top WR next year if receiving is still a problem. I think one of the reasons we don't really have #1 WR is due to the limited downfield throwing ability of Pennington, but I love that Penny doesn't throw a lot of bad INT's....so we basically have to run a "small ball" offense for the time being.

I really don't understand why Camarillo's name keeps coming up in trade talk threads.
Has no one read the multiple reports where Pennington is 'looking for Camarillo when in trouble?' If healthy, the guy will lead our team in receptions. Heck, he almost did it last year while missing multiple games. Cam is going no where.
Secondly, there is no log jam at OLB. With Roth's unknown status, we are in need of OLB... Oh and NO ONE will give us a pick for Moses.

But if I remember correctly, New England won the superbowl with David Givens (6"0) and Deion Branch (5"9)

I don't think Chambers wasn't a true # 1 receiver..He had trouble with seperation.
He only had 1 great season when Gus Frerotte was the QB.

If I remember correctly, New England won that Super Bowl with Tom Brady and an offensive line that gave him all day to throw. I love Pennington and I have high hopes for Henne/White, but none of them are Tom Brady. You and I could have when out that night as WRs and won that Super Bowl.

Yes, Penny isnt Tom Brady, but who is????? He is a top 5 all time QB for many.....Penny, if you look at his stats, is good enough to lead us to the title.....
Now, do we have the line, the weapons, and the Defense to take us there? We are about to find out......
