I have been sitting here thinking about our qb situation and all the talk about cutler ,brees, culpepper ect. And i think our best option is matt schuab and here is why. We can get him for a 2nd round pick, he is young enough to build our team around, no injury problems and most important he is not going to demand brees type money. then we could spend our #1 pick on the secondary and have more money for free agents. and dont tell me he dosent fit our system, he can learn it any qb we bring in is going to have to learn it, qb's can adapt and schuab can make all the throws.And dont tell me he has not proved he can be a starter in this leauge because neither has young cutler or lienart and we would kill to get one of those guys.
 
OR sign Brees in FA and save draft picks.

Do you think we're not gonna have to pay him? Why not keep the 2nd and just sign Brees as a FA? Much better QB and we keep the draft pick.
 
Or Sign Brees and not have to switch a guy from the west coast offense to our style. Or sign Brees and have a QB that has shown pro-bowl caliber play for the past 2 years. Until I see Schaub put together a entire season of great football, he will just be another Feeley.
 
Sign Brees or trade for Culpepper...........no more trading 2nd round picks for other teams' backups.

yes brees is a good qb and i would love to have him but how much is it going to cost us? there are tons of teams that will want him and what about his shoulder? we dont want to give a guy a 20mill and find out he cant complete a 40 yd pas like pennington.
 
1st u wont have to give 20 mil....2nd brees is proven...i for one am one that put schaub up there...one of my 1st threads was about schaub...but if we can get brees and not give up our 2nd then u do that....

brees is better than scahub and his shoulder aint career threatiening...he will come back full strength:cooldude:
 
sign McCown, he's cheaper than all of them, and has talent.
 
sounds like the AJ Feely trade all over again... how many games has schuab played in?
 
Schaub was much higher ranked than Feeley in college, had more experience in college, and has done more than just manage games when he's been in there. The Falcons have been better with him in there at times than Vick, and I'll bet a lot of guys here would love Vick.

Enough with you and your Schaub talks the guy is so garbage IMo just cuz of a couple of games u think hes god:shakeno:

so i guess all backups are going to be like feeley? thats dumb schuab was great at uva and he is not aj feeley he is better than you think its not his fault vick is ahead of him he will be a good starter in this leauge i promise you.

all im saying is why give away a 2nd rd pick for a guy that has started 1 game in 2005. 1 game in 2004.
