Okay, I've got my flame ******ant suit on. I'm ready to get blasted for this.

Assuming we get Trent Green and draft a young QB in Rnd 2 (Stanton), we trade Duante Culpepper to the Raiders for Jerry Porter.

We paid a 2nd rounder for Duante last year, and Porter is probably worth a 2nd to 3rd. He's a blazer, and "could stretch the field" like a true #1 should.

Porter's not the head case that Randy is. He had problems with Al Davis and the crappy Raiders coaching staff, but he plays hard and at a pro bowl level when healthy. I don't think the Raiders want to give up on Randy anyway.

Not sure about the salary cap ramifications but if we're thinking of releasing DC anyway, why not give this idea a try.:goof:

With Cleveland now interested in Green, I'mhinking they have the same idea, drafting Quinn. I seriously think Green will be a Brown. Romeo Crennell is a little bit under pressure to win now and Frye will not get him there. With multiple teams intersted in Green, his price will increase and I don't think we will match the highest offer. These are my opinions only of course.

This would all depend on Daunte's willingness to take a huge paycut. He defintely has some value. He doesn't have Jerry Porter value, but he has some.

There are several teams who need backup QB's. Arizona has absolutely nothing to backup Leinart. If you think Daunte isn't what he used to be you should watch some film on Curt Warner. He is finished with a capital F.

If you include Ricky in the deal and Gaurantee his drug tests until Nov 30 with a 2008 2nd round pick, you would probably have a deal for the #33 pick
with Oakland.

The ex-Seahawk? He is forty-six now and retired seventeen years ago. You've got to cut him some slack for that surely? Sorry, I'm just being an ****. I knew what you meant and am wasting your time and mine not being big or clever. I'll go outside and sit on the naughty step now and think about what I've done.

When i first started to read this post i thought it was gunna be another madden trade. But this is somewhat interesting because i could see this as an option. We would be getting a very talented player. But would they want a limping Daunte'.. Maybe..

But, do we want a guy who was caught laughing on the sidelines while his team is loosing.. I once saw him on ESPN not caring about the game, laughing. Thats bad for chemistry and i couldnt see Cam and Mueller going for it. I think hes as much of a headcase as Randy if not more.. Randy's just lazy..He's been outta trouble for some time now..

Green isn't going to go anywhere he doesn't want to go... the Chiefs are not in control of trading him because he is due a BOATLOAD of money this year. So, unless the Browns (or anyone else for that matter) wants to pay him what he is due on his contract, he is basically a free agent, and I think his ties to Miami mean he will not go anywhere else, and the price WON'T go up as far as compensation to the Chiefs. They have no leverage. They can play this game as long as they want, but They aren't going to get more for him than was given up for Harrington last year.
