New Orleans has offered Toronto Jammal Magloire for the 7th and 16th picks in Tuesday's draft. Toronto has countered by offering the 7th, Denver's 1st next year (Carter Trade), and a filler (likely Eric Williams or Lammond Murray) for Mags.

Local radio around here has reported if Toronto's 2 picks are involved that NO would probably throw in their 4th overall pick.

If Toronto can keep a 1st round pick this year they should do the trade. Mags wants to go to Toronto (he's Canadian), and a frontline of Mags and CB4 would be one of the best.

Toronto would be morons to turn down any trade in which they can get Magloire. He's finally a good, marketable player for them. Still, New Orleans in doing that is going to be taking a step backwards next year. They are really, really bad.

I'd do 7, 16, and Denver's 1st next year for Maagloire and this year's 4th.
IMO that would be a very good scenario because the Raps could then get their hands on Chris Paul and you've got a decent team with Maagloire, CB4 and C.Paul to build on. Personnally I'm a bigger fan of G.Green but I'm not sure if Rafer is the solution long term. Nevertheless imagine a front court of Magloire at C, Bosh at PF and Green at SF. Watch out.
I'm not a big Bab**** fan so I wouldn't be surprised that he drops the ball on this one simply because Maagloire is a local product. Remember Jamaal was injured all last year. Him being a local is nice but you've still got to look for value and get a draft pick with Maagloire. I'd be mad if the trade was a 7th and 16th for Maagloire only.TO is in a good position, with a 7 and 16 you might be able to fill 2 holes in your lineup with a combination of Felton/Granger or 2 other quality players.
