We all know that Ross and Tannenbaum like to make big splashes in free agency. But with the limited cap room this season (Suh) a trade may be our only way of doing it now. And with all the trades that have gone down so far, it doesn’t seem so farfetched.

It seems like there is a lot of uncertainty about what we will do with our 1st round pick. It also seems like there is uncertainty about what our plans are for Dion Jordan. Having said that, I’m curious what you guys think we could get in return for that package in a trade.

14[SUP]th[/SUP] overall pick and Dion Jordan = ???

A 2nd round pick

The 14th for Jimmy Graham was the answer. Who on the draft board makes the immediate impact Graham does if ever? That said I'm not aware of anyone being shopped worth that pick

Jordan has zero value right now...if you traded him straight up you might get a 5th rounder at best. So the 14th overall pick plus a 5th rounder gets you to the 13th or 12th pick in the draft...you move up one or two spots at best.

I could see a trade up possibility for a pass rusher, knowing tannebaum. I hope not though

But the saints got a better offer with unger and #31 pick. We would have had to give up more than just our first

I would trade Jordan to Philly for Kiko Alonso.

With the stuff Chip Kelly has been doing...wouldn't hurt to try. I'd call Chip Kelly and ask him for his 1st round pick for Jordan...he might do it. He's destroying that team.

i read the coaching staff still wants jordan to play de. so 2 years now and they still want this guy to play a position that he is clearly bad at? they still wont put him at lb, why?? i question if we can even get a 5th for this guy.

Maybe he's bad at linebacker too. Maybe he's just a bad player.

Being how horrid the market is for MLBs in both FA and the draft, I'd look into trading a mid round pick to a team that might have one available for trade, but nothing comes to mind off the top of my head.

I would offer a 2nd round pick to Tampa for Glennon. That kid showed some ability in his first season. I can not understand why he has not gotten an opportunity there. He has more potential than Tannehill. He almost looks like a Flacco type of QB when he plays. I would get him as our starter and get what I can for Tannehill. We could maybe get some ammo to go up and get Amari Cooper in the draft by trading Tannehill.

Another option would be to see if New Orleans really is shopping Brees.

The one QB being mentioned as on the market who I would avoid is Cutler. But, we definitely need a QB.

I'm so glad you aren't the GM of this team.

With recent contract talk maybe Vernon could be dealt with Jordan sliding into that spot. OV talking $10mm/yr. Pass.
