Trade Preston Williams? What would we get in return?

Could miami get anything from dallas since they got rid of a couple WRs this year with cooper and wilson that we got. But then washinton is out 6 weeks from injury and I guess gallup won't be available to play week 1. If there's a team that might want a wr with some potential, maybe Preston...

conditional day 3 pick at best. im guessing most teams are just waiting for him to be cut
yeah why would they trade when teams will cut wrs that don't make the team before the season starts. So some wrs for depth or potential can be picked up by other teams without having to give up anything

The way Grier goes about trading players for picks, I wouldnt be shocked if we get a conditional 4th for him, but he is worth IMO a 6th at best.

Go ahead Mr Grier, work them phones.

At BEST this...

.....why? Because the dude is a walking MASH unit and even when he last played he wasn't lights out. He'd have to come on this season and really prove himself and even then his injury history would dog any trade.

Preston should look out for Preston.

He probably realizes by reps that he’s only being hung onto as insurance in case of a camp injury. Worst thing for Preston is to get cut as rosters trim down to 53 and then he has little chance of catching on elsewhere.

The Dolphins probably know they won't have room for him so they might as well facilitate some public workouts to generate interest from teams willing to give something of value and be ensured of acquiring him at a known cost. Same thing for other bubble veterans who aren't garnering the limited practice reps. Nothing says the team has to trade or cut anyone but who says they can't have an open and voluntary "B" practice for healthy players who aren't able to see action during regular practice?

This!!! The team gave him a 1 yr contract but not the opportunity to play. Anyone in his position would be doing similarly, he's not an aging veteran so these years in this sport are crucial to his income earning potential. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be just insurance in case someone gets hurt, especially since he's proven he can play at this level and be productive. Miami should look to release him so he can get with another team as there's no trade value there, and this is from a diehard phins fan since 1970.
