If any one has noticed, there have been tons of trades this summer, which is abnormal for the NFL. Teams are trading players who are valuable but are at deep positions. The Dolphins now have to follow suit. We are deep at D-Line and WR. We lack depth at MLB, CB, and RB. I think we should shop guys like Jeff Zgonina, Kevin Vickerson, Manny Wright, Cliff Russel, Fred Gibson, and maybe even Marcus Vick, and try to acquire players that fit our position needs. It is better than releasing these players.

Many of you will say we should just wait for cuts. But the system changed this year. Now you only have to trim to 75 by tuesday, so some teams will only be cutting there weakest players. If we have to wait until final cuts September 2nd, our final roster will be set and we have to release a good player. If every team has to cut 22 players Sept. 2nd, 704 players will be released.

Those guy that are mentioned above, I wouldn't trade for them. If their cut, then maybe look at them, but why give up a pick for nobodies? JZ is 75 yrs old, sure he can bench press my apartment, but can he really produce anymore?? The other guys, IMO, won't bring anything. I hope I'am wrong, but anything is possible.

Maybe i miss read or miss interpreted your post, but we wouldent be trading FOR those players we would trading them away.

I was playing GM for another team. Sorry!:D

no you read correctly, he is looking at it from outsider point of view.

would you trade for any of those players? none of them are even close to game ready other than zgonina who WONT BE TRADED and he is too old anyways. no team would be willing to give us draft picks for our nobody's (at this point).

at the same time, no one is going to trade their potentially good, young players just for ours...why trade nobodys? you know your own better than the other teams do.

Reports are that Miami has been trying to trade extra D-line help and WR (3rd story down on finheaven home page). In particular, Wright and Zgonina. There has been "no" interest in Wright which is understandable given his current situation.

I disagree with your analysis that we don't have depth at MLB, CB and RB. But I do think we should focus on the O-line -- Bennie Anderson is not going to cut it IMO -- or future draft picks.

Oh, my bad, steveincolorado.

I forgot where i read it, but i think zgonina might be traded to the cowboys or titans, for how much i dont know. sry no link.

Sure the Dolphins will take a pick in return, why not?
Put yourself in a GM's postion of another team, would you give up a pick for those guys?

I'am just say that if I'am a GM from another team, these guys are on the bubble anyway and that their not worth giving up a draft pick for. They might get cut and then if I'am still interested, I could then bring them in.
If I was the GM of the Dolphins, then sure I'd shop them.
