What do you think the #1 pick is worth. Which teams picks would you trade the #1 pick for. I hear Jerry Jones wants McFadden so how many picks do you think he would give up if he really wanted him. Atlanta need a QB they might want to move up what else would it take to get the #1? So do you think we should keep the #1 or trade for more picks.

I think we should trade down slightly and get more picks, but we won't trade down because no one will want to trade up for an fair amount.

I think it's becoming more unrealistic that Dallas will try to get him. Their picks are too low and they would need to add more picks or more players. Our only hope is if Atlanta and/or Oakland believe we will take Matt Ryan or Darren McFadden and one of them needs to jump us and the other team to get them. Trading down from 1 to the 3-5 range should get us an additional 2nd rounder and maybe something else.

I think that'd be ideal; chances are probably slim-to-none, but that'd be my preference. Still a slight chance at Chris Long or Glenn Dorsey, and definitely in the range of Jake Long, Vernon Gholston, and Ryan Clady.

I think we should trade our first pick to Detroit for Roy Williams and we get there pick at number 15. With this pick we then can pick up Kenny Phillops out of the U.

I saw we trade down at all costs. I wouldn't mind trading down a little bit and still getting a top 10 prospect or trading farther down like with the Cowboys to stock pile picks.

The biggest reasons I want to trade down is the fact that we are not 1 player away from being good, we are a lot of players away from being good. Another major reason I would love to trade down is the $. If we traded with the Cowboys for instance we could sign both of their 1st round picks for probably less than the amount we would have to sign the 1st overall pick.

I would even take less than the value chart says our pick is worth.

Worse come to worse I say we do what the Vikings did a few years ago, when they let thier time expired and the they had to wait 1 pick to pick again. If we did that move we could easily save about 10-25 million dollars and still be able to draft G. Dorsey, J. Long, C. Long, or D. McFaddden.

I would also consider drafting D. McFadden and holding him hostage until some team makes us an offer we can't refuse

First off as of right now there is no sure fire #1 pick. So unless a guy like McFadden shows some sorta of Barry Sanders type skill at the combine nobody will want to move up to #1...

Now if by chance a team falls in love with a certain player that we don't feel is worth the #1 pick as much as they do, then we shouldn't be ashamed to take less value for that #1 pick. Why people treat Jimmy Johnson's chart as the holy grail is beyond me, every draft is different as far as talent goes, they all can't be 83'.

I wouldn't mind taking less value, pick up another pick or two in this years draft but also see if you can get some high picks in the 09' draft. A lot of good talent (Laurinaitis, Malcom Jenkins, Maualuga, Oher) went back for there senior year. And let's face it people NOBODY is gonna right this ship in just one off season.

I think the Dolphins will trade down if they can find a trade partner willing to give them equal value. Thats why in the near future there will be media reports leaked proclaim the Fins Love affair with McFadden. Hopefully scaring a team into a trade.

McFadden might not have been the best RB on his team.

with that said, I can only hope somebody is willing to trade up with us.

While I think it would be great to trade down a few spots and still get one of the top picks we want, it simply doesn't happend very often because teams don't want to pay #1 pick dollars. If they can trade up to 3-5 and still get the guy they want, that's more likely to happen. Our best hope is that one/two guys seperate themselves apart during all the off-season prep events (Sr. bowl, combine, college workouts, private workouts). We all know how much the draft list goes up/down from the time of SB until draft day. Any talks of trades probably aren't going to happen until the last 48 hours before the draft. Maybe somebody a few spots below us will want to leapfrog someone else and is willing to trade a way a second-round pick to do it. I doubt someone that far down (like Dallas) would be willing to trade up to get the #1. they'd have to give away half of their 08 draft and part of their 09.

I personally see McFadden alot like Reggie Bush (who hasnt done anything extraordinay)...But I was just using his name as an example. After the Senior Bowl, The combine ect. Lets scare ppl into trading for the first overall pick.

I agree with you about the value chart. How can a draft that has Peyton Manning at the top have the same value as this years draft?? People on this board put way too much stock in that Value Chart.

It all depends if Parcells wants to stick to the draft chart. Meaning if he expects adequate value for the pick. IF he decides the $ and the picks are good enough no matter what the table says... then maybe. However, if he sticks to the chart there is NO way ANY team will pony up enough picks for us to trade down. I would love to, but I do not see it...
