And I say that realizing that this team is 0 and 5 and may not have many pieces to sell. But I want Ireland to be active today.

Let's not go crazy. Despite the woes of this franchise, there is actually young talent here. Andrew Luck and a good coach will make all the difference in the world, and I don't want to give them nothing to work with. If we get a coach that the young talent will respond to and Luck is as good as we hope, Miami will be a contender in 2013, if not next year.

Im gonna say it even though everyone already knows it, Marshall has to go.

We should, at the very least, try to trade everybody north of 30.

NFL draft deadline is like watching paint dry. If anybody gets moved, it's Merling.

Trade Wake while someone is still willing to give something for him.

He would be the first guy I look to move if the price is right. I'm not trading him for anything less than a 3rd, Soliai would be on the block, any of our defensive ends (Langford, Starks, Odrick, McDaniel and Merling) would be on the block...not trading all of them but one would work for me...we could probably get a 4th for Starks.

I'm not happy with Marshall but we wouldn't get good value for him now, not what we gave up for him. Maybe a draft day trade if something comes up but not right now.

Some have perceived my trade thread as a panic mode. It is not. Trading someone should involve assessment of where a guy will be in a couple of years and how a veteran fits in the long range plan. I would not trade a young player with potential. But I would trade a guy like Wake. Why? Because he has value as an older player who will not likely want to be a part of a rebuilding situation. I would not want to trade a guy like Long because he is one of the top at his position and pretty young. I would consider trading a guy like Starks or Solai. I would consider trading a guy like Incognito or Carey, even though they will likely find no buyers. The idea is to assess and trade, not just a whole sale, fire sale.

Well, it was foolish on our part to give up 2 seconds for him in the first place. This is a loss the team will simply have to eat.
