in case there were still people on here that thought Tampa would give up the farm to move up to 2, you can now rest easy.

Ed Werder just said that Tampa has now shifted their focus to DeMarcus Ware at 5. They are looking for a replacement for Simeon Rice who very well could be traded to SD for their #28...
 
More smoke ? Who knows, trust no one from any team till draft day is over!
 
wow ware really has been climbing if this happens... i know the cowboys supposedly will take him over merriman now but i doubt he'll be as high as 5 unless the bucs trade down
 
Makes some sense...their cap situation is bad. If they get a #1 for Rice I'm sure that they would take it. As for Ware at #5....why not try & trade down a bit. I'm sure that Ware would be available 6 or 7 picks later.
 
but doesn't SD play a 3-4, how would they use rice? unless hes a roaming OLB for them, i dont see him as an end in the 3-4

yeah, thats what the SD fans were saying in the KFFL forums.....Rice was a LB in college

I'll believe that when I see it. Not dissing Dudeman for posting that (thanks), but rather, how on earth could Werder and Clayton get suckered in by that? Werder I can see, since he's a moron, but Clayton's got actual journalistic chops. He should be able to smell bull$#!t a little better than that.

There is no scenario I can imagine that would lead to Ware going at 5. None.

Ware at fifth? To be honest I dont even know who the guy is! he sure as hell isnt in the top seven. Go ahead Tampa draft him. If they are that stupid Washingtons offer looks even better lol!

Ware will be one of the top DE's in the next few years....I actually was hoping Saban would look at him as a LB, because he's too small to be DE in Saban's D
