Trades?

Since the mid 70's with Grease and Staubach....they have been my 2 favorite teams. Being from Florida, I chose Miami as my favorite. Also playing high school football with Emmitt Smith made me a Cowboys fan as well. Only time I pull against the Cowboys is if they are playing Miami, or it effects Miami.
You went to Escambia? I was a freshman when he was a senior.

Yes, I was a Sophmore when he was a Senior. I handed off to him and his brother Erik during joint JV and Varsity spring practices

I also use to throw footballs back to Alan Ward after practice when he was kicking field goals down in the bowl. I lived on the other side of Simmons trail, off of Patricia.

Man that loss to PHS sucked his senior year, when we were ranked #1 in the nation :(. Coach Nichols was an amazing offensive coach who taught me a lot. It sucked when he left Escambia to coach Washington.

Remember when George Blackmon was killed during the JV and Varsity practices? Horrible day.

I lived off of Jackson St near 57th Ave.

Yes, very somber at school that day. Not sure if you remember a motorcycle wreck that happened in front of the school, in front of the Driver's Ed range? If so, that was me.

Did you happen to know a guy named Bill Rogers that was in your class?

Each and every that teams are willing to take.

My guess is other teams are lowballing us, considering the fact we have so many often injured players with bloated contracts on the roster.

Who wants any of that?
This. Half of Phillips’ tape this year is him dropping into coverage and flopping around like a baby giraffe. The other half is an undersized edge who can’t set the edge and has no juice to get around the corner. In Weaver’s system, he’s a terrible OLB and an even worse DE.

Possible he’ll look a lot better in a system where he can be a pure edge rusher, but “hey, we’re totally misusing this guy, pay us for what he should be, not what our idiot coaches have made him” is not the most compelling pitch.

First, any pending free agents for ANYTHING you can get for them. Second, most of the rest for any fair deal. Lastly, everyone else on the roster you get a great deal. So. Everyone is available
Since pending free agents would effectively be 'half-season rentals' (no guarantee that their new team would be able to re-sign them), they would have to be pretty good to command much of anything in a trade, presumably to a current contender desiring reinforcement for a hopeful postseason run.

So how many current Dolphin players does that describe?

2026
1. Dolphins need another wr.
2.. add another Og
3. Add veteran Dt and draft one in 3rd or 4.
5. Draft DE//pass rusher
6. Cb/ keep 1 or 2 off cb on team now and draft one in 2nd rd.
7 qb if u like one in first rd draft him

2.

We've got a few pass rushers that might be of interest to teams with injuries, Phillips and Judon. Same thing for some DB's, Campbell, Douglas, Melifonwu and Davis. DL depth in Benito Jones. LB's Britt and Gay are also guys teams might be interested in. There have been alot of injuries on defense around the league. Brunskill, Strange and Borom might interest any team needing DEEP Oline depth.

Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Rasul Douglas and Matthew Judon should all be top priorities to trade.

I would move any and all of them for the right price.

I would have some interest in bringing back Phillips for another year if they can work out the money, I am not sure what kind of FA market he will have so he might be willing to come back on a "prove it" deal for a year and then take another shot at FA or an extension in Miami.

Minkah's prime does not really fit with the likely Miami timeline so it would make sense to move him but that could wait until the off season.
